Great hotel with an awesome bath and sauna. They're trying to differentiate themselves by being more modern / hip. They don't have a restaurant, they have a bar. There's something going on almost all the time. When I was there they had a live dj for 2 days and some sake testing. Rooms were spacious and they have a real shower instead of the shower / bath combo, which I greatly prefer. Service is top notch as well. I got the booking discounted and I feel like it was an absolute steal. Even at full price it's a 100% recommendation

I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the amenities were top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet and The Taste restaurant amazing food and drinks. The location was also convenient for exploring the surrounding area. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Nice rooms but with a weird layout (sink right by the entrance). The facial recognition is a cool feature but I think is unnecessary. They should focus more on customer service, which was practically non existent. Staff are not warm/friendly, no daily cleaning service, can’t call cabs for the guests, charges a fee for early check in even though the room is ready - the list goes on. We stayed in many different hotels around Japan during our trip (and many others in our other travels), and this one stood out for the wrong reasons.

Pro: Location, to me, is pretty good; buses, trains are easily accessible. One can walk to Nishiki Market too. The quadruple room is very spacious. Cons: Black theme in the room makes it very dark. The lights at the mirror are insufficient for the ladies to do their necessary. Usual amenities are present but no complimentary coffee/tea in the room. Shower and toilet are on the two opposite sides, could be inconvenient. Staff are generally helpful but not very smiley and hence give the impression as not very welcoming. Overall, it is an ok hotel but could be better to increase its "value for money" worth. As this was my first trip to Kyoto, I won't write it off yet, however, I'll try some other hotels in future before deciding if I'll come back again.

Currently staying at Sequence in December of 2023. Normally I don’t review hotels but this one I will make an exception for. Check in time is 5pm which is already quite late compared to most hotels. We arrived at 4pm for the hotel and asked if we could get into our room early if it was ready, every other hotel in the past I have been to will try to accommodate and get our room ready so we can get settled as soon as they can. However this hotel forced us to pay 2000 yen just to get into our room early, and the part that angers me is that the room was ready! Never had such a terrible experience with checking in before. Do not stay here, lots of other hotels just as nice in the area they will actually accommodate guests instead of pissing them off during check in.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
