Cosmo Hotel Hong Kong

Room size are OK but not clean in a deep way. Need to request everyday for the room to be cleaned. Almost everyday had to reminded them to do it. Very tiring. Lift are pretty slow and need to be patient. The breakfast is a pack one. They do the always the same thing (depends on day). Location is ok but nothing special.

Our flight arrived at 4:30am and we arrived at Cosmo at 6am. Check in wasn't available until 3pm so we had 9 hours to spend. I have to admit, it's quite inconvenient as most customers are quite tired after a long flight. I'm sure they have their reasons, such as cleaning the rooms. We stayed at Cosmo for 3 weeks. The pictures on instagram are very different from what it looks in reality. lol The staff were friendly and check in process was quick. We had a choice of choosing the room colour (green, yellow or orange). Breakfast is not included, so you need to pay extra. We've only got it once because it doesn't look that appetizing. There is a patio called the Breeze, located on the 5th floor. A shared kitchen (hot water, microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator) is also available on the 5th floor. The hallway is a bit dark and stuffy. For the first 2 weeks, there were 2 purifiers but they suddenly disappeared on the last week of our stay. lol The walls are thin so you can hear people slamming the doors and talking. The room is quite spacious but there is a smell that came from the toilet, a very unpleasant one. The shower drain was poorly done as water kept overflowing, which made the washroom floor very wet. Laundry services and shuttle buses are available, however you would need to walk over to Dorsett Hotel (a minute walk away). $80hkd to wash and to dry. It is better to go on a weekday as there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers. The shuttle buses are quite convenient, you may ask the staff for the bus schedule. If you don't mind taking the bus and tram then this hotel is alright. Nothing is close by, everything is a walk (around 10 minutes), even the convenient stores. I would have given 4 stars, however, one of the housekeeper denied us of toilet paper on our second last night of the stay. My husband had called housekeeping and the man told him: "Toilet paper? Cannot." When my husband asked him why, the man hung up on him. This was a very confusing and a disappointing moment as toilet paper is a basic necessity to customers. If there was a legit reason, such as (supplies being stocked) then it's understandable. But hanging up without giving a reason is just plain rude.
