I would like to start out by saying this hotel indeed is in a great location however I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. I stay at Marriott's almost exclusively and would say this does not stand up to Marriott quality. We arrived at 5am and were told that we could check in early and pay 50% of the room rate we were quoted (which was $109 total). When we arrived the receptionist told us we had to pay 50% of the current room rate which was $172 so we had to pay $86 which was almost the full rate. We got to the room and the shower water came out brown. Additionally the carpet was extremely dirty. Ultimately the worst part for us was the very loud construction going on. We had no idea this was going on and were not made aware of this so we got no sleep at all. We felt we were put in a room directly next to the construction. This is certainly something guests should be made aware of and we have to think there could have been a more quiet room to put is in. Overall very very disappointing.
We were staying at Marriott for 5 days. It was our honeymoon and the management upgraded us to a superior room with a Freedom Square view. Also on arrival we found a bottle of sparkling wine and cake which was a really nice touch. My husband had birthday during our stay and again staff surprised us with a cake. The room itself is a bit outdated to be honest. But it was very clean. And of course Marriott beds are tge best in the world. We had the best sleep. Blackout curtains help too:) Breakfast was good . Service was great. Thank you
Except the location, theres nothing great about this property. A definite shadow on the Marriott brand. We booked it for 3 nights assuming its marriott and will be good. But oh, what a disappointment. The location is good, room sizes are very small- and that too we booked a superior one with a view to freedom square. The staff is robotic in nature- doing their job and not forthcoming at all. You ask an extra bottle of water in the room, they behave as if you just asked their kidney!! There is absolutely no quality control being maintained here, they dont even wash the cups in the room at the time of cleaning, you come back in the evening and a partially clean cup with coffee rings, that you used that morning will be there waiting for you, the washrooms too are only superficially cleaned, the tub is as dirty as you leave it in the morning. I could go on and on on the quality here, but save time for yourselves- this hotel will increase anxiety and quite the opposite of what you expect from a holiday. We are a family of three, and we stayed here for three days. Safe to say skip it by all means- there are so so so many hotels in this 2km radius, you will get a better hotel at probably a fraction of the cost. This was our third trip to georgia, stayed with ambassadorri the previous times, thought to try Marriott owing to the location, A complete disappointment this was! Skip it!!
