DAOL guesthouse is on a small backstreet, but relatively easy to find. The room was small, but ok for the one night. The check in process was entirely by phone. There was zero human interaction either at check in or check out. A QR code on the door takes you to a Web page, once you've put your details in you get a four digit pin number to access the reception area, and after 3pm you get another to access your room. The room was small, but clean, with all the bits I needed for a night. The bathroom was tiny, but the shower was clean and hot water plentiful! I chose DAOL as it was listed with breakfast. However there was no breakfast to be found (and no staff to offer any assistance). There is a Hollys Coffee nearby! The thing which let's it down was the noise from other guests... The stairs are wooden and the hallways tiled, so the smallest sound carries like thunder! For a one night stop off, it did the trick!

Dec. 2022.(latest review) ■ Family room, Gathering with friends in Hongdae worst place ever. The room was very cold because it was semi-basement. We asked the host about heating, and she said, "Are you cold?" It was December in the middle of winter, and it was MINUS 9 DEGREES. I had to enter the guest house building to adjust the heating. We adjusted it as the host told us, but it was still cold, so we raised the temperature even more. This is because it snowed during the night and became colder. Before checking out, the host came to us and screamed and got angry at us for raising the heating temperature. We paid $282 per night and we have the right to sleep in a warm room. ■ 3 min walk from Hongdae station ■ No notice of heating (even in winter) ■ Host yells and scolds Guest ;) ■ Need to buy a garbage bag at your own expense ;) (Mapo-gu)

The host and her family are friendly and kind. The room is small but comfortable. It is the cleanest place I have ever stayed in Korea. Very convenient as it is just few minutes walk from from Hongik University Station exit3 (has escalator) , near to lots of shops and good restaurant.

The owner was very nice and welcoming. We arrived at Daol in the very early morning but still had no trouble when we contacted the owner to leave our baggage. Hotel location is very convenient - approximately 2-3 mins walk from Hongik station (Exit 3). Many good cafes and restaurant nearby. We stayed in the basement room. It was not that quiet since some guests were enjoying at the hotel's garden which was exactly next to our room window - and also lots of passer by during daytime. However, the room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also clean - liquid soap, shampoo, small towels and hair dryer provided. Breakfast was simple - cornflakes with milk, toast with butter and jam, fried egg and sausage, juice and coffee. Only suggestion is more cleaning services should be provided. (Our room was cleaned only one time during 6 nights stay) Anyway, I'm still happy with Daol. It was our first time staying here but definitely won't be the last! I'd recommend this guesthouse to single, couple and family traveler.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Adani One does not collect GSTIN details on behalf of the hotelier, you may request this information directly from the hotelier during the check-in process.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
