        I have stayed at this hotel about 10 times but my most recent visit was on 1-31-24. I went to check in and the check in door was locked as I believe is normal practice after a certain time of night. I rang the doorbell about four times and after nobody came to the door I called customer service to see how I would be able to check in. At this time, a lady finally came in and unlocked the door. My comment as I walked in was, "wow, I was waiting for 15 minutes for someone to open the door". Instead of a customer service friendly response such as "Sir, I am sorry you had to wait, I was busy and this was the 1st chance I had to help you", her response was immediately argumentative. She said "There is ABSOLUTELY no way you were waiting for 15 minutes. I saw you walking up to the door." A. If you saw me walking up to the door why have me wait outside in the cold without at least acknowledging me. And B. Even if it wasn't 15 minutes, why start a conversation with a guest so rudely? She proceeded to have a huge attitude the entire check in. I asked her for free parking as an inconvenience to me waiting outside and her rude customer service and she declined. When I tried to complain to management in the morning they also declined saying they checked tapes and I was only waiting for 4 minutes outside. I think the point went completely past them. This is no way to run a business and this is no way to treat a returning customer. I work in downtown and frequently stay in this hotel when I am unable to drive home. I have never asked for anything for free and would never unless I thought it was warranted. Needless to say, there are plenty of other budget hotel options in San Diego and I highly recommend checking them out before you stay here. The customer service is absolutely terrible and I personally will never be staying here again.

        You can tell the staff here really care about running the place well and making guests comfortable. My family stayed for 4 nights in the 2 queen room and found it to be spacious and clean. Best of all, the staff helped us out of a sticky situation when we woke up to a flat tire -- they brought an air compressor over to our car and pumped it up! Thank you for the top tier service.

        The place is good for an affordable option, was cleaned and the beds are really comfortable. Pros: really closed to everything fun to do, easy to find, easy check in, friendly staff, room was nice and clean (bathroom has mold and the bed sheets. Cons: The downside is the mold growing in the bathroom area is really bad. The bed were stained They shouldn't leave the mold grow this bad at all. I think has to do with the type of curtain are I'm the shower they do not hold water inside the shower/tub at all. I can see coming from the upstairs bathroom on each level.

        Broken toilet seat in room unrepairable no shower curtain a refrigerator, so small unable to be used. No place to sit except the bed. No bathroom counter space to put make up on no shower curtain. I would not recommend staying there.

        NOT PET FRIENDLY! Even though amenities says it is! Was forced to check out of hotel same day even though prepaid for a week over one pet (cat). Manager should have given me a waiver for inconvenience and for FALSE ADVERTISING. Unable to recommend.
