What a wonderful stay at Eurostars Das Artes in Porto. The room was clean, well maintained, and spacious. The staff was so friendly, very helpful, always smiling and always around for any assistance. The breakfast was amazing, with a lot of choice! The location was fantastic, close to all the locations. I recommend this hotel, when you stay in Porto.

Maria the lady at the front desk who intile herself as a Manager is rude totally unpolished and arrogant. I am 61 years old from USA and after an incredible stay at Hilton SE Porto with all the correct attitudes from everyone at the hotel there decide to book this one Eurostar artes porto for a change ...what a big mistake! Maria has no consideration for as tourists with no care for her guests , we got the flu and me and my husband have a sore throat very painful as well as fever thanks God we purchased insurance witch we were able to been seeing by a doctor at CUF hospital....and I asked Maria in the morning a water heater for the room to make medicinal tea and in the afternoon after I expressed my disappointment with the hotel service she rudely told me they have no extra water heater , all they have were already in some rooms and she made me feel very small because the other rooms have it, but not mine! They were suits.... even though we booked 2 separated rooms due to my daughter son in law and my nine year old grandson been with us! What a terrible hotel service not everyone was bad Andrea de cleaning lady was very courteous and Renato from night shift was a very helpful person a sweet heart as well as conceição. The only bad apple it is MARIA the "Manager"....the hotel it is just ok but never a 4 star ! the TV in the room is so small and so low to the guest to be able to watch we have to request another set of pillows...again 4 stars...never! NEVER MORE! And MARIA should come to USA to have some hospitality training. C Ayers room 121 from 12/26/23 to 12/28/23

Why is this hotel 4 stars when there’s No bell man to carry our luggage up the stairs & to our room , we arrived around 3pm & there was no one to help us with our 6 luggages . We drove so we had to block the street to check in & then they opened the gate for us to park ! The room was spacious but smelled & there was bugs on the pillow , the mattress was very uncomfortable . When I asked to change the room , front desk said I had the best & largest room overlooking the Main Street , why am I complaining!! Front desk & breakfast staff very arrogant

Will start with good points: great service from the staff, clean and they kept it like that during my 2 weeks stay. The hotel is quite old, rather run down - you can see it in the furniture, the smell in the room etc. It was funny how window frame pieces were falling apart when I tried opening the window. Terrible WiFi, really very very bad. Basic furniture, quite limited. The breakfast was not worth 12 euros compared to other Porto hotels I've stayed at, for sure not possible to eat every day for 2 weeks, even the omelete looked like it was not made of eggs but who knows what. For whatever reason the hotel has issues with some payment cards when paying for the hotel room. The AC system was probably from years ago, made noise at night to which one needs to get used to. Overall it was OK, not great though.

The room (315) smelled really bad. It is due to heat hitting the windows and melting the nylon curtain liners. The walls and furniture have heavy scent which would not go away since air circulation is limited due to a/c power cut off while it is not occupied. Other than that the wifi is terrible. On the contrary the staff is amazing and well trained. The bar service was excellent. Housekeeping kept the room tidy and they worked very hard. My complaint about the smell has been ignored by the front desk.
