        I travel internationally all the time. I chose this hotel because the one in Madrid was on point. I don't know if these are paid reviews but I definitely VERIFY THIS is NOT a 5* hotel. Photos are attached. LOBBY At the entry point, the lobby is dimly lit with dead flowers at the reception desk. Nothing was shiny. You know how most hotels try to give a "fabulous" first impression. Not this dump. THE ROOM I was tired. The only thing I was looking forward to was the great room experience I had at the sister property in Madrid. The room was poorly lit, possibly to hide the substandard house keeping and dirt. The towels were not bright white or fluffy but apparently old and over washed. The sheets were the same. I slept on top of the covers. FOOD I ordered room service. The pasta was dry and it was delivered in 5 minutes. I asked if it was prepared fresh. He said "Yes.." I smirked. The cheese wasn't covered and the dish had a red pasta sauce stain on it despite my pasta having no sauce at all. The mushrooms weren't cooked but strategically placed with sprinklings of an herb, possibly oregano. This is Spain where the expectation is fresh food and pasta. Nope. I'd question if the food was even clean Let's scoot over to the menu. Nothing for vegetarians and the vegetarian options on the menu was "tuna". WE DO NOT EAT MEAT or FISH. There weren't any vegan options whatsoever. STAFF Overall the staff was disheveled, not crisp and looking well put together... THEY seemed like they were just coming to a job. No one was enthusiastic or "hospitable". They weren't rude, just there... And incompetent. The place was dingy... Old, smelly, run down and dingy. I booked one night and got the hell out of there. Carpet in the hallway was stained Room smelled like mold Hair dryer was at least 20 years old... No pride in ownership and 😁 doesn't value. Customer experiences

        I had a very bad experience with the same chain in another city, but my experience in this hotel was amazing and I didn’t expect I will enjoy my stay. PROS: - Lovely staff, very supportive. He helped us with the early check in and the room was so good. - The size of the room is good and convenient. - Comfortable beds. - Bath size is perfect. - Location is amazing. CONS: - Nothing

        I give the hotel a plus plus 5 stars, thank you to all the staff. We decided to stay here because of the close proximity to the cruise terminal. We had a wonderful room lots of space, super cool layout with balcony, very quiet. We purchased the breakfast with our stay, and it was really good, wide selections of both hot and cold items. Bottom line is the staff are all really nice. I will definitely choose this hotel brand when we return to Europe.

        Really enjoyed the location and proximity to attractions. Barcelona is soon to ban large cruise ships from the port right next to the hotel, but it really didn't cause much of an issue as indicated in some other reviews. Views from the room and rooftop bar are awesome, and the pool area, while small, was nice to sit at for a break from the city. The room was very nice with a terrific waterfall shower, and everything was very clean and well-maintained. The rooftop bar was only opened Thursday -Saturday which was slightly disappointing.

        I'm afraid it's a mixed bag of reviews. The location was superb, being close to the port to embark upon the Virgin Voyager south terminal 2. It was literally a 2 min walk from the entrance of the hotel. We were given a nice upgrade to a suite with a lovely small balcony overlooking the marina. Views were lovely. Bar service was good, and the wine choice was great! Room terrace restaurant - service spot on, food was incredibly slow 🐌 but tasted good once it finally arrived. Room service - awful 😖 I placed an order the night before for breakfast in the room for 9.am. however, it never arrived :( we finally got it, but it wasn't what we ordered. Rather than letting us know they didn't have dairy free yogart, they simply didn't bring anything 😞. Thankfully, they didn't charge us for this, especially given it took a whole hour to resolve. Those on reception were very helpful and likewise the chaps at the front.
