        Stayed for one night and the service is top-notch. The staffs' warmth and professionalism ensured us a memorable stay. The welcome dessert and the breakfast is also great, I especially love the crossiants, regret not grabbing more because they were that good. The location is perfect as well, it's a quiet street but within walks to lively tourist area. The hotel is next to the Takase River, taking a walk along the river is just so comfortable and has such a kyoto vibe.

        We booked this hotel as found it in Kyoto by surprise, I used to love their desserts in Paris and bought a lot to home after every Paris trip! Before the trip I contacted their team for restaurants reservations, the team was so friendly and helpful, I truly appreciated about it! We checked-in the day before yesterday, got warmly welcome with Macarons and black tea, and the lady nicely introduced about room, I surprised found they even offer some deserts complimentary, and was told it will be refilled! What a nice surprise! I truly Enjoyed it! As good as I had before in Paris and with some Japanese special. Yesterday we had long walking trip, I insisted on to go back hotel room for Fauchon afternoon tea, but after went back to hotel, there was nothing, two rooms same, no refills! I called front desk, was told this time “We used to refill, but we stop now” What a surprise! I asked her, really? Yesterday you said you will refill during the stay, today you tell me you stop refilling? What a disappointment! I hung up the phone, told my family and planned to go out for afternoon tea, then the front desk called back to say, “we stopped refilling but will do once for you this time! “ they sent something to room, but I am truly disappointed, I kind of feel they stopped refilling only for us!         Our first time in Kyoto was memorable with a stay at Fauchon. Located slightly away from the busy shopping area, it is within 10-15 minutes walking to many attractions, restaurants, and even the subway. Staffs were professional, very friendly full of hospitality. They had an amazing bar on the 10th floor great for seeing the sunset. Room has modern and very chic decor. All appliances were of top quality.

        Stayed 3 nights at Fauchon Kyoto earlier this year, from the welcome tea and macarons while checking in we knew we were in for a treat. Service was exceptional throughout and we were met with smiles all the time. Beautiful room (quite feminine, the lady loves it) with a free flow in-room dessert bar filled with Fauchon's desserts (they refill it daily!). The daily breakfast included was a highlight on its own, using fine ingredients sourced from local farms nearby and served with beautiful plating, which is rare to see for hotel breakfasts. Did I mention excellent service again? As we checked out, a nice tote bag was provided also to takeaway all the remaining desserts and an additional voucher for MORE macarons from the boutique shop. So we enjoyed Fauchon desserts for 3 more days in Tokyo😆. Overall exceptional value considering we booked at a special rate too. A lovely experience that will always be remembered and talked about.

          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
          The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

          If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.
          Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.
          Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.
