Couple of months back I watched some of the lessons Barbara (First Rate Tutor) had posted on YouTube. I was very impressed and then purchased access to online material on her website. The videos were very helpful. But as my son is going to appear for GCSE in 2024 and needed some quick help I contacted Barbara and asked for 1-2-1 lesson. I am very thankful to her that she agreed to find some time out of her busy schedule to teach him. She is a great tutor. Her knowledge of the both English Language and Literature is exceptional. She has a very professional approach and exam oriented. My son enjoys her teaching and is showing great improvement. He has moved up from 2 to grade 5. Hope it gets even better in coming months. I would definitely recommend Barbara for English tutoring.

Barbara Njau is an incredible English tutor. I've used her teaching resources for nearly a year now. She has a comprehensive set of outstanding recordings and resources available on her website. She keeps up-to-date with the latest papers too. In particular, her masterclass on English Language paper 1 and paper 2, over a live session where she was able to teach, answer student questions and do the paper at the same time - and in just over 2 hours each paper is unbelievably amazing! I'm very grateful to Barbara for the brilliant and professional support she is providing to my daughter to prepare for GCSE English. I can see from the very beginning massive progress in my daughter's understanding of the exam structure and the methods to achieve highest possible grade. Barbara has been tutoring my son and daughter for a number of years and her guidance has been amazing. I found her so helpful that I also recommended her to tutor my children's cousins - one who was completing her GCSEs and her sister who was in the process of completing her A Levels and they both scored top marks in their final GCSE and A Level exams with Barbara’s help! Barbara’s knowledge in English is second to none. From 11+, all the way to A Levels, she is versatile and she covers both English Language and English Literature. She is super professional when working with my children. She makes sure she has prepared everything they need for each lesson - and they both have seen huge changes in their grades! In addition to helping them with English, Barbara's helped them excel in History and even RE - she's a real all-rounder and I feel like they are in safe hands when working with her.

Barbara of First Rate Tutors is absolutely phenomenal. I cannot praise her and her services highly enough. She is the “go-to” resource for all things Humanities, and her courses in English and History are unparalleled. Barbara is incredibly kind, caring, gentle and empathetic. Her nature means that students are readily endeared towards her, and within 1-2 tutorials there is such great rapport, connection and eagerness to engage and do well. Further, Barbara is incredibly organised! The tutorials are always well planned, structured and my son never feels uncertain about the content or expectations set of him. We have every intention to work with Barbara through to A-Levels, and I’m confident that our son’s GCSE grades will be wonderful! His predicted grades have already gone up by two grade boundaries! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Barbara and First Rate Tutors!

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Please be aware that fulfilling these requests may result in additional charges.

The hotel reserves the right of admission. The hotel may refuse to honour the booking if it determines that the property policies have been violated.

If the booking cannot be confirmed due to certain circumstances, Adani One will refund the entire amount to the original mode of payment.

If the hotel is unable to confirm or deny the booking, Adani One is not under any obligation to provide an alternate booking in lieu of the unconfirmed booking.

Adani One does not collect GSTIN details on behalf of the hotelier, you may request this information directly from the hotelier during the check-in process.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Refund amount may take 10 working days to process to the respective account from which the payment was made during the booking.

Please be informed that your bank may debit its own separate charges from refunds made to your credit card or bank account.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
