Found Chicago powered by Sonder

Our group had a perfect trip to Chicago for the first time! We booked with Sonder because my friend has stayed with them multiple times and always has had a great experience, ours fell nothing short than great. We were able to get everything we needed to check-in over the Sonder app, customer service was very responsive and very helpful. We ran into a Sonder staff member throughout our stay, each time we saw someone they checked to make sure we were enjoying our stay & that we had everything we needed. The communal kitchen was a nice amenity to have, we were able to connect with other guests and make new friends. The lobby was very well decorated & very spacious. Our room was immaculate & the furniture was quite comfortable. The only thing I feel could’ve been better is the size of the rooms & the features - a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee machine, etc could go a long way. Even still, at least those were in the communal kitchen. All in all, I’ll recommend Sonder to anyone because the quality of stay I experienced at the price point was unmatched compared to other offerings in that area of Chicago.

Stayed at the Congress Plaza last trip to Chicago but decided I wanted to be closer walking distance to the Riverfront this time. Found was the most affordable place to stay in the area (we choose a small room with a set of bunk beds and a bathroom) and it's nice quality compared to more budget friendly options nearby. There are some amenities that I like including a full kitchen with shared pantry and refrigerator space, a nice lounge with a printer and safes, as well as luggage storage. I would have liked a small laundry facility though. Our room was nice, albeit small but we knew this going in. The bathroom was actually fairly spacious though. Nice shower, sink, and toilet and toiletries. The heat/ac worked great but was a little noisy. The beds were very comfortable and clean, the room was very clean too. The rest of the building is very clean and stylish as well. There is no one manning a desk in the lobby like most hotels so all issues are resolved through the Sonder app. I used the chat feature a few times with no issues. I have one pretty major quibble with this hotel- the damn bar attached/next door! Don't get me wrong it's a neat place but the insanely loud music could be heard in the lobby, elevator, and hallways, and I could even hear it in my room which was on the far side of the building. This music went on into the early morning hours. I can only imagine how loud it was for those in rooms located directly above or next to the bar. Found needs to invest in some serious soundproofing. I would definitely stay here again in the future but I would want to be placed as far away from that noise as possible.
