I’ll start with the perks- amazing location, close to everything and not too loud at night. Everything is walkable. They let me check in early which was great as the room was ready. Staff were pretty friendly also. Price is decent as I was solo travelling. Down sides: I’m used to staying in slightly nicer spots but as I was taking a solo trip I thought I’d try this place as the price wasn’t too bad. - room and hallways smell bad honestly and this was a big thing for me. - room wasn’t dirty but also wasn’t the cleanest I’ve stayed at. (I’m pretty picky with this but others may not mind.) - you have to pay extra to get your room cleaned which I’ve never heard of before. They gave fresh towels when I asked but my room wasn’t cleaned the entire 2 days & 3 nights. Wasn’t awful but probably wouldn’t stay again.

Great value, slightly quieter area but close enough to walk or grab the free shuttle to all restaurants in Miami Beach. Room was clean and comfortable, great shower but small sink. Pool area is nice enough for a swim and some sun. Fantastic new restaurant on-site open all day. 3 min walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this newly renovated hotel. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the interior has been very tastefully designed and the restaurant (despite only having opened a week before we arrived) served absolutely top notch food (at reasonable prices for Miami). The only issues we had were relating to some of the details in the room: 1. The air con is extremely loud - we referred to it as a ‘tractor’! This did affect the quality of our sleep for the first night. For the rest of our stay we turned it on for a few hours prior to going to bed to bring town the temp of the room and then kept it off while sleeping. I hope they’ll upgrade the system as part of the continuing renovations. 2. The sink in the bathroom is the tiniest I’ve ever seen in a hotel (more comparable to a sink on a train / plane). This makes washing your face/ brushing teeth/ shaving really difficult. 3. You can’t open the windows - I understand that some hotels do this for security reasons or to reduce ‘waste’ where people leave air con on. I assume as our room was on the 2nd floor, the reason behind this was the latter- perhaps if they update the air con systems, the new system could automatically turn off when people open windows. It’s really quite stifling not to be able to let any fresh air in to the rooms. Although I’ve listed a few things to improve, this is only because this was such a lovely hotel in every other way. They weren’t deal breakers for us and we’d definitely recommend staying and plan to return ourselves!

Overall nice place to stay. Conveniently located near the beach. The halls are a bit sketchy and dark. And the smell of incense lingers through the halls. Room is small but tolerable. Our shower door would not stay closed it just kept slowly sliding open Sink in the bathroom is so tiny we could barely properly brush our teeth with it. Everytime we entered our room is smelled of mold. We thought running the ac would help but it did not - Our a/c kept turning on and off and making a weird screeching noise when turning on. They don’t provide cleaning unless paid for. I requested a roll of toilet paper which they claimed would be brought up to the room but I never received it. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, bar Luca staff was also great. The staff overall was amazing. There is street parking available but be ready to pay every 3 hours (which honestly your entire stay in Miami will be full of paying meters ) Overall I give them 3 stars. I would probably try their other locations.

We had a really comfortable stay at Sonder. The location was the best. There is a bus stop exactly outside the hotel that takes you anywhere you want through Miami Beach. Rooms are small but they have everything that you may need. Comes with an ironing board and iron, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is also a small closet to fit in your clothes and a full length mirror which is so important for getting ready. The bed is a 10/10. We stayed for 3 nights and had the best sleep. They also provide as many beach towels as you need. They charge a small fee of $20 if you want to get your room cleaned which is fine considering the price you’re paying per night compared to other hotels. But the front desk always provides extra towels, toilet paper, dustbin bags, paper towels etc. They also don’t provide toothbrushes and toothpaste so make sure you carry your own. The biggest downside for me was that their water dispenser was not working and they don’t provide water bottles in the room. All in all, I would say it’s a really affordable and cute hotel if you’re looking for a 2-3 night stay. We would definitely stay again at Sonder 👍
