Great location within walking distance to iconic Gion streets. We stayed in a large family room with ensuite so, this review doesn’t relate to the dorm or shared rooms. We enjoyed our stay. Room was large with a lovely outlook into the beautiful garden in the middle and the staff member who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. There’s also a convenient coin laundry and plenty of shared kitchen facilities. I would have given 5 stars however, the staff on check out seemed to rush us. We had 2 young kids and were aware that the checkout time was midday so, I just felt it was a bit unnecessary for the staff to tell us to “hurry up please” at 11:45 when we’re obviously on our way out. Other than that, I can’t fault our stay.

Mixed dorms were good size, you could keep ur luggage next to ur futon. Shower room and toilets were clean and the common areas were nice to meet people and spend time in. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for walking around and close to several bus stops. Would stay here again (:

Note that the beds are quite firm and thin so if you are a side sleeper like myself they may not be the most comfortable. I had a bad experience today. I was staying in a 10 person mixed dorm and at 5:20am 3 Hispanic people were loudly talking and packing their stuff with no regard for anyone else that was sleeping. Someone even shushed them but they still kept talking loudly and waking everyone up. So rude and disrespectful. They should pack their things the night before and not wake everyone up. They were talking loudly to each other for an hour. I didn’t want to say anything to them because I was worried they would take revenge and steal my stuff when I went to the bathroom or something. This isn’t the fault of the hostel, just bad luck getting put in the same room with the most inconsiderate people ever. Overall the hostel is great, the WiFi worked really fast in the room and the staff were super nice and AC was strong and cold. One thing I didn’t like is you need to push the shower button ever 5 seconds otherwise the water shuts off which is very annoying.

The ryokan experience wasn’t that great. The place is not very clean and our room smelled a bit musty. We could hear people go up the stairs all the time, especially later at night and that was annoying. Since it was hot and humid, the AC had to be on the whole time, and that was quite noisy too. It wasn’t functioning very well either and there are mosquitoes so you can’t keep the doors open to the outside. The people at the ryokan were very kind and sweet, but I would not stay here for longer than a day.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
