Large, beautiful rooms with wonderful bathrooms, great water pressure, very decent toiletries including body scrub. Super clean, with a turn down service as well as a morning one. Lots of little details make this place great, including all the statues, but mostly the friendliness of the staff, who always welcomed us back from Angkor Wat with a cool towel marinated in lemon grass. We were initially looking at hotels that were much more expensive but Golden Temple Retreat really delivered for a fraction of the cost. It's located near our favourite restaurants and just 10 minutes from the river and fun local bars that are off the busy strip.

Really can't say enough good things about the place. The rooms were clean and spacious and the location of the hotel was super convenient to get everywhere without the extra noise. The service and staff were extremely helpful with tours, location information and anything else needed. Marge was a superstar. The dinner with the aspara dance show was interesting and they of course help organize drivers for Angkor tours.

This was the perfect hotel for our family visit in Siem Reap. The rooms were beautiful and sparkling clean with every amenity you could imagine. The breakfast that was included in the price was excellent and they even offered a free massage and a free lunch. Sophia at the front desk was great. She took wonderful care of us and arranged our wonderful guide and driver (Nat and Ron). Nat picked the perfect itinerary for touring Ankor Wat and on our second day recommended a fishing village and boat tour of the village. Highly recommended!

We have stayed three different times at this location! The staff is absolutely amazing! You are greeted with a cool washcloth to wipe and have a refreshing drink with some nuts. The atmosphere is nice and the rooms are spacious with the most comfortable beds! They have fresh flowers in the rooms and a fruit plate. There is a nice bathroom with a nice tub and in addition to a separate shower. Wonderful breakfast buffet and a free lunch which we could order ahead of time. We were able to take it on one of our excursion days! We were able to have a two hour massage that was one of the best we have had and the price was amazing! We love staying at this location as it is in walking distance to downtown! There are plenty of sidewalks for exercising in the mornings! This is definitely our favorite place to stay and the cost is great! We highly recommend it!

just got back home and stayed at golden temple retreat last week. it was a great place and a great location. the service was very personal and everyone that worked there was very nice and professional-miranda at the desk was excellent, there were 2 men in the dinning room that were great also, and also the 18yo gentleman that worked at the pool and also the dinning room. they were all very nice. if they have the dinner show, make sure to see it--3 times a week i think. it is a short ride to pub street by tuk tuk-1us dollar! bring american dollars to pay for souvenirs and food at pub street and night market.
