        The worst hosting experience ever! Never deal with this company. First they will show you a beautiful pictures but when you will see the property you'll be shocked! Dirty kitchen and bathroom, broken floor, broken furniture, and walls with mold! Then they will lie you that they have a parking but they don't! They will tell you to park elsewhere and promise to refund you parking fees, but they lie again! It's a scam. They owe me parking fees for 2 month and never give them back. I needed to go to police to resolve this case and still didn't get my money back. Shame on you Homing!

        We had shown ourselves willing to wait to give a negative review, having asked for explanations of problems we had in the flat, but in line with the attitude of the host we were ignored, so here is our bad experience. Once we arrived in the apartment we immediately noticed the serious leak in the pipes which created extensive mold damage in the walls of the living room and in the bathroom, which were not communicated in advance in any way. On Nov. 02 2023, the "owner's daughter" knocked on the door informing us of the need to enter the apartment to check the aforementioned problem. Not having received instructions from the “Homing” Agency (located in Largo do Rato 7A/B) where we collected the keys to the apartment, we communicated to this girl our unavailability to enter the apartment. The following day, on Nov. 03 2023, however, we received notification from the agency of the need to allow the private owner and a technician to enter for a brief inspection at 11 am. The night of Nov. 02 2023, however, something unacceptable happened, which violates every type of rental contract and privacy, in fact around 6pm the owner of the flat, with his keys, entered the apartment thinking that no one was there (as per his texts words), finding our presence instead. The actions and the carelessness of the apartment has created great inconvenience for us and we consider such behavior unacceptable. The structure, which we tried to contact several times, told us that it would give us more information and a refund, obviously they disappeared.

        BEWARE!! We rented at AVENIDA DOM JOAO 11 53 - In Parc Das Nacoes Lisbon. We were assured Homing owned the unit and it was in good repair before we rented and paid in full for 3 months. The place is filthy and clearly has NEVER has been cleaned with toxic mold growing and insect infestation. The Door/Window is broken and hangs wide open and can not be closed -it's December! UPDATE * Today is Jan 26th - 2 months and no fix or response from homing* Homing said they needed to "order a part" and since have never responded to our emails or calls. We went to the office address of Homing, which was closed up and no one working there - very concerning. The furniture is dirty, burned with cigerattes and stained with fluids. The bedroom ceiling light hangs from wires and bulbs in the bath are blown out so it's like a cave. The FRIDGE doesn't work - 3 months with no fridge. Bedroom blinds are broken and don't open. On check in day we had to rent a hotel because we were told someone was still in the unit, after we'd traveled two days so were exhaused and were told we'd have to go across town to get the keys. They offered airport pick up and would not respond to our calls, emails or text before or on arrival so had to take a cab and find a last minute hotel. NO ONE, INCLUDING MANAGERS are responding to calls or emails. We've had to buy pillows, bedding, sofa and chair covers, coffee cups, toaster ect. This company needs to be reported to local authorities. UPDATE JAN 26th - Two months in and no resolution. We had a repair man come in to look at the heating units and he contacted the company and his boss with photos. He said the heating unites had NEVER BEEN CLEANED and were dangerously toxic and bad for allergies and breathing. He cleaned them as best as possible and advised the company is well aware of the wide open broken exterior living room door and that nothing was being done to fix it. This review has had almost 600 views and the company still doesn't make any effort to repair the unit or compensate us.

        I concur with every one of the reviews involving wishing there was a possibility of a 0 star review. This place claimed to have a late check in fee which was never mentioned in the contract booking, as neither was the lack of basic cleaning amenities or fact that check in was at “welcome center” at another place in the city. The fee was requested in Cash, which was HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS in today’s cashless world. We did not have cash and stood our ground since our rental was prepaid. After a few convenient phone calls, a CARD READER suddenly materialized!!! Wow! If there wasn’t a bigger red flag for tax evasion…stay away from this place if you can…management is horrendous and your stay will not be worth the headache and money!

        You must see the apartment, in person, before renting from Homing.com. The building looked as though it was abandoned. When I opened the building door I was met with stacks of old paint cans and boxes of junk on a very dusty table. I immediately called the office wanting to be moved somewhere else, but nothing was available. The hallway had a 2 liter bottle hanging from the ceiling in the stairwell, also I tripped on the ladder in the stairwell going up to the apartment. Once the apartment door was opened we were greeted to a STENCH, we rushed to open the windows to breathe. I immediately called the office again and complained about the STENCH. While I had the office person on the phone I walked into the kitchen and to my surprise, there was the toilet. Right there in the kitchen was the bathroom and the company would do nothing, as they were closing. I was so applauded. The apartment pictures didn’t show the toilet in the kitchen or I wouldn’t have rented. And the Stench was overwhelming. We contacted VRBO, the company I rented through, and after two hours of explaining the situation and letting her know that she didn’t want her toilet in her kitchen. It’s not sanitary, it gross. And the Awful stench made it hard to breathe. She wrote a letter to Homing.com recommending they refund me. But, wouldn’t you know it, when I arrived early morning at homing.com they didn’t want to refund me. The manager actually went to the apartment ad to find a toilet picture, telling me that the apartment pictures showed the toilet in the kitchen, of course there was no such picture. I told him VRBO sent an email strongly recommending my refund. Without VRBO, the company where they advertise stepping in and saying something Homing would have tried to keep my money. VRBO does not know what Homing is providing it’s customers.
