Very nice hotel however for a 5 star I missed bathrobe and flip flop. Swimming poll is small and there is a construction next to it so no privacy. Breakfast is fabulous I highly recommend. The room is well equipped and the bed is very comfy. I didn´t like the location however they offer a free shuttle bus during the day to Ibirapuera Park.

Grand Mercure São Paulo is a luxurious hotel with a high standard of comfort and style. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms have everything you need. The boulangerie and the restaurant are really good and also the bar is nice. The hotel provides shuttles to various locations for a safe travel from and to the hotel.

I have visited your hotel almost annually since 1998, at the time it was the Sofitel Grand. Not much has changed since 1998 in terms of layout and colour scheme. Was very glad to notice you had a room available checking in early, coming in early from Europe. Pre-paid my room for 4 nights checking in. Then tried to in the bar put some drinks on the room, bar man came back with an aggressive voice saying my card was blocked. PAY CASH NOW! Abrupt end to a relaxed time. At the front desk I found a lady that kept saying "you did not give us the card to make a guarantee" - yet I gave the card for payment of the room. Yes, but not for the extras! If I give you my card I would expect you process it as needed to get the room paid and for any extra costs. Specifically when I am a returning customer I was quite annoyed by this. Checking out front desk confirmed there had been deviations as I checked in.

I stayed several times in this hotel. It's one of my favourite places to stay in Sao Paulo. Of course not everything can always be perfect, but when something occurs the hotel always try to solve the things as good as they can. Great points of the hotel: the breakfast is outstanding (amazing pastries, fresh fruits, vegetables and so many other options), the location is near Ibirapuera park but also the city airport CGH, Paulista av. and other popular areas and perfect to explore the city. The staff in my opionion is great, open for a conversation, attentive and kind. The hotel itself and the rooms are in a classic style, but the guests are of a mixed variety of people. The gym and other facilities are good also. Can't wait to return...
