        Their Christmas brunch buffet is top notch with a wide ranging variety of seasonal specials all at a comparatively reasonable price. The quality of their deserts is remarkable. The hotel serves the best Christmas Pudding in my opinion. The staff are very friendly and attentive and it was overall a great experience

        Made a last minute reservation for the lunch buffet and thankfully they accepted it. Lunch buffet was good, not the widest spread but they had everything from soups, salad, main course (Sri lankan and international) and dessert. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Although not the biggest spread the food was very flavourful and tasty. The dining room over looks the port and is a beautiful view to witness while dining. The place is a bit old and needs renovation but considering its history it's kept nicely. Value for money and would reccomend.

        I don't understand all the negative reviews. Yes, the Grand Oriental Hotel has seen better days and everything is quite aged and out of date. It needs a little love and lots of renovations. But given the price you pay to stay in this historical colonial building, I'd say it's very good value. You can't expect Hilton standards for 33$ a night. I stayed in room 306, which is truly more of a suite when you consider its size. Yes, the furniture is old and the bathroom is straight out of the 80s, but there is a lot of charm and history here. AC was a little loud, though. Bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well throughout the hotel. The staff was always nice and polite. The restaurant on the 4th floor was good value, especially the buffet breakfast. The hotel is a 10-minute walk or a short tuktuk ride from the train station. Glad a stayed here.

        We had an enjoyable stay, and the staff at the location proved to be quite flexible. The manager assisted us in finding a suitable place for a photoshoot at a reasonable price. The buffet breakfast, though not extensive, was exceptional. The main improvement needed is in washroom cleanliness and toilet maintenance. Despite this, the overall place and ambiance were excellent. Thank you to the Goh Team for their service; we truly enjoyed our time.

        Was there for a the school Christmas party. The place is in a good location But now the place is not well maintained. Had dinner from the hotel and food was not in good quality. The staff is miserable. We had to wait for about an hour to get glasses to have our wine. Overall the quality of the food is average or below average. Not the best experience in a hotel. The toilet’s were unclean. The security person didn’t care about any of my needs. One of the bad experiences I ever had.

          The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.
