        Friendly staff, delicious free breakfast, only about 10 minutes or so from the airport. First night in phoenix following a 1am flight landing, our room was great. The front desk staff was awesome and friendly for the middle of the night. We checked out after one night but had to check back in a few days later after a canceled flight, as did so many others. The staff was a bit more swamped and had to deal with less patient customers but they did as well as they could for weather issues that canceled flights and were completely out of their control. Our second room there was a large, dirty bath towel behind the door in the bathroom when we got to the room and the water pressure was less strong. Besides that, no issues. They do offer a taxi shuttle to the airport but plan ahead. It's a taxicab, not a big shuttle bus for multiple families. Plan ahead and give yourself extra time.

        I had booked my reservation weeks in advance and could not be found in the system. There was a lobby full of people having the same issue. People couldn't get checked into their rooms. Lilo does need to be recognized for her awesome customer service but this company has a whole needs to do better. My room was dirty, there was food left in the fridge from a previous guest and none of the TV's worked in my king suite. So after all of that, I had to switch rooms leaving me only 3.5 hours to sleep before my flight out of town. Again, Lilo was amazing and deserves a lot of recognition and a raise , especially after being mandated to stay over for third shift on top of that.

        Well! Most definitely a 3-star stay.. First, the front desk rep, Octavia WAS SUPERB! Her being a worker and Ms. Mary the cook at this establishment made it a lil easier on the stay! The hotel has no views of anything unless you get a window to view pool, which was out of order.. They were understaffed so front desk was delivering everything and then some! It's under new management and they got work to do with patched holes sporadically around, the one working elevator (thank goodness only 4 floors), and the outside seating that is ready to collapse at any given time.. The main entrance is inviting, basic up-to-date, clean waiting and breakfast area... Hallways are where the renovations need to take place... Room we had was spacious but was an open concept so for a person using the sofa bed for sleeping had no privacy.. Beds were good. Sofa bed HORRIBLE, but they did come and give a better mattress for it.. Don't look for a computer area, they have one, but they didn't work... Ok, location from airport and to the places we visited, but won't be our choice next time... This was good enough for a few days stay, with quiet rooms, minimal comfort, amenities (except pool out order), and car service to/from airport..

        The only good thing about this hotel was the front desk was extremely kind. Other than that, it was bad. Room stunk like cigarette smoke. One bed had a melted part of the sheet. The pullout couch mattress literally looked like it was picked up along the road. Stained, flat, and nasty. Most of the TV stations didn't work. Windows wouldn't stay open to air the place out, so I had to prop them open. The window frames were bent and rusted. After taking a shower, the water wouldn't turn off, it kept dripping all night. Possibly the worst place I've ever stayed.

        The only thing holding this place together are the two girls alternating on reception. They are literally doing everyone's job. I arrived at the airport and was unable to reach the hotel or the shuttle to get picked up. I tried to call a few times over a 20 minute period of time. There was never an answer. I ended up having to pay for an Uber. One of the main reasons I picked this hotel was because of the expected ease of getting the airport shuttle so not off to a good start. As my Uber pulled up to the hotel, there was the shuttle sitting right out front, doing nothing. Once checked in I discovered that the door to my room didn't lock and my tv didn't work. Front desk lady was very helpful and managed to fix the tv, she said unfortunately the hotel was at full capacity so she couldn't move me to another room even though my door lock was broken. Not ideal for a lone traveller on the ground floor. I blocked my door off with furniture from the room once I was in for the night later on. I also went to check out the facilities after check in, the other reason I chose this hotel was for the 'year round' pool and hot tub, they were both disgusting and obviously not being cleaned or used year round. I also tried to request late check out and was told it was on a first come first serve basis first thing in the morning and that I'd need to be up early "6 or 7am" to request. What's the point in a late check out if you have to wake up at the crack of dawn to ask for it?! Plus I was then informed it costs an additional $35+tax. Taking a shower was a pretty gross experience since the tub didn't drain. There was also no breakfast available this morning - that I had pre paid for. The receptionist had to go into the kitchen and make breakfast (not her job fyi) there were over 20 people waiting for breakfast at 8am that should have been prepared for 6am. The entire stay at this hotel has been ridiculous. I did try to speak with the manager today who was completely unhelpful and unapologetic. I have requested a full refund. We shall see...
