We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel for two nights. Immediately greeted with such a warm welcome by Luis, who also made a customized map itinerary and gave great food recommendations upon checking in. Hotel room is cozy and very comfortable. We had 402, which has gorgeous front row views of the Douro River. Met the owners Luisa and Hugo the next day, who also prepared delicious breakfast with many fruits, pastries, bread, and cheeses. They also helped book reservations for us for dinner plans. The staff overall was the main highlight of this trip, as they went above and beyond to make every part of our experience as memorable as possible. Thank you again for such a wonderful time, and hope to be back soon!

There probably isn’t much I can add to this review that many of the others haven’t already said. The location is as good as it gets for the Porto metro area and Douro river, being extremely close to good restaurants, convenience stores, boat tours, attractions, and a stones throw from the Dom Luis I bridge. Our room overlooked the river from the 2nd floor, which unlike the other floors, has a balcony to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the waterfront. However, I’m not sure what the other rooms were like for space but we found with all the luggage we had plus the 2 of us, the room was a bit cramped. But it worked nonetheless. The best part of our stay was undoubtedly the service from Luisa, Connie and Luis. They were always so willing to help or provide for us, even if it was just a coffee or glass of wine, at any hour of the day. We’d also never had as thorough a run-through of any towns offerings and attractions, as we had from Luisa when we arrived. Whenever we do find ourselves back in this part of Portugal, we’ll 100% be back at Guest House Douro. Well done team.

As mentioned by others, the owners and staff really make this place so wonderful. Luis and Dinishe (both surely spelled incorrectly,) were delightful. Breakfast was like an amazing exotic fruit still-life painting! The room smelled great, and was cleanest and most comfortable place I have ever stayed. I'm so ready to turn right around and go back!

We had a great time in Porto - it was more crowded than we anticipated and the area near the hotel was not quiet (but we didn't mind) in the evenings/ nights. What made this place stand apart was the staff, especially, Dinis & Luise. They were absolutely phenomenal. Such genuinely helpful and kind people. They didn't just offer to help because it's their job, it's because they are wonderful humans. I will stay anywhere if they are there to help us along the way!! Thanks GHD, Dinis and Luise!

This is definitely an exceptional place. The staff, especially Luis, is extremely nice and helpful, you feel immediately at home. Great location, amazing views of the Douro and close to everything there is to see in Porto. I would recommend it without hesitation and would stay here again for sure. Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
