This place is really outstanding. The staff, amenities and breakfast are all top notch. There is also a communal area and so we got chatting to other guests plenty. Our private room was also perfect for us. I also think the price is incredible value considering all these things

Run down hostel on a main road. I was woken up several times by traffic. No locks on the doors of the private rooms. Gross old worn slippers to wear. Given the incredible reviews, I was expecting a B&B style accommodation like the last guesthouse in kyoto I stayed in. I left and booked a proper hotel.

The best place to stay! Great location, easy for bus and subway, cheap for taxi from the train station. The owner is very nice, speaks English and the breakfast is the best thing that could happen to you in the morning. And if you are lucky enough, the doggo Giro will pay attention to you :D

The Guesthouse Gajyun is a hostel in a traditional Japanese house called Ryokan. The staff is super friendly, and the owner cooks a delicious buffet style breakfast every morning which is included in the price. The beds are very comfortable. The location is also quite good, with just a 20min walk from the kyoto-kawaramachi train station and the nishiki market. I can really recommend staying at the Guesthouse Gajyun!

Great stay here! Jiro, the dog, is an excellent staff member. And their breakfast is 10/10, extremely fresh fruits and food. It’s like they have their own well-maintained fruit garden 😋 everything was so fresh. Only had 2 nights in Kyoto and I’d go back 😄

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
