I had a really amazing experience at this guesthouse and I think its one of the best places to stay in Japan for solo travelers. The couple (Mama and Papa) that run the guesthouse are really lovely and make you feel at home, and I felt so comfortable resting at this guesthouse. I was given really good suggestions on what to do while staying in Kyoto, and every single restaurant recommended was a local spot that had very good food for a really amazing price. The guesthouse itself is really beautiful and has very comfortable beds with heated blankets. Everyday we were cooked a delicious breakfast. I don't know if this is just my personal experience, but I stayed in a room with 3 other people and we got along so well, we even hung out later throughout my trip. I think that the setup of this guesthouse definitely contributed to how close we all got since you really feel like a family there. I really looked forward to getting back to the guesthouse each day after a long day of sightseeing to just hangout and share what my day was like. The guesthouse also had free snacks and two adorable cats. The location is really central which makes it convenient to see all the sights in Kyoto.

The hosts Mama and Papa were so welcoming and kind. My first night there I had a bad cold and Mama gave me cold medicine and even offered to cook me some food. They offer free breakfast every morning and you get the chance to meet and talk to the other guests of the Inn (and hang out with the hosts' cats!). The guesthouse itself is so traditional and homey. We opted for the private room, which had the comfiest futons I have ever slept on. The hospitality here was unmatched, and it felt like I was experiencing Japan instead of just staying at a hotel if that makes sense, it was an unforgettable experience.

Our time in the house has been outstanding, with our lovely hosts Mama and Papa whom make all the possible to make you comfortable and welcomed in this traditional house. The neightbourhood is friendly and quiet, with several eating and traditional options, with a JR station at only 10 minutes walk. It is impossible to describe how lovely this place is, you have to go there and discover by yourself. If I have the luck to come back to Kyoto sometime in the future, I will do the impossible to come back here.

Located in a quiet neighborhood in Kyoto, this place is more than just a guesthouse, it's a home and also a place for me to connect with other fellow solo travelers like myself. Thank you so much Mama-san and Papa-san for making my stay so memorable. There's nowhere else I want to stay other than your place. I'll definitely come back again next time :)

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
