The staff are excellent and the food is delicious. The rooms are nice albeit a little dated. We were asked to pay an extra 70 dollars as it was New Year's Eve. The staff again were what made this trip for us. They were outstanding and a lot of fun. I must mention that this is not a 2 day cruise. The second day starts early 7am for breakfast followed by kayaking or a Bamboo boat (highly recommended) followed by checking out of your room at 9am and lunch as you go back to port. You will disembark at about 11.30am. Altogether there is not a lot of time to enjoy and relax on the boat to take in the Bay so I would recommend the 3 day - 2 night stay if the wallet allows.

Super friendly staff and great views! WiFi was nonexistent though. The attractions that we visited were very beautiful but there were a lot of tourists there. The tub with the view is gorgeous and I highly recommend taking a bath while on this cruise.

Nice cruise with very, very attentive staff. Though not advertised, they serve great “western coffee” (espresso, cappuccino, etc). The food was highly fried but I guess it’s what you get within the region and even more inside a boat. Halong Bay is suffering heavily from over tourism. Attractions are so full you get stuck in the mountains hiking as there are too many people trying to climb at different paces (straight pathways prevent overtaking). I would not return for this reason and would even consider skipping this within Vietnam, as you can find equally as beautiful landscapes with way less tourists. That is, however, independent from the cruise company Aquamarine.
