        We normally stay at Hilton Midtown but this time we decided to at Hampton Inn Grand Central. I didn’t regret it. Room was kind of small but comfortable. The best thing about the hotel was the breakfast. I totally enjoyed it and the staff at the breakfast area was wonderful. The location was also great if you want explore east side of the city. Grand Central Station was about three blocks. The subway station is an ideal place if you want to go to other parts of the city. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a great place to stay.

        Don’t be fooled by all the good reviews like I was. The location is perfect because it is so close to Grand Central, but that is about how good it gets. The actual hotel is very basic and old. No upgrades available for a Gold Hilton Member (you just get a bottle of water lol). You will hear your neighbors talking or slamming their doors shut. Rooms are tight and the toilet is facing the bed, which is a turn off. The queen size bed is spacious and comfortable though. They were in the middle of replacing all their mattresses with new ones when I was there. There is a good sized TV in the room. Only 4 pillows provided and they were way too soft. One of the main reasons why I booked this hotel was because of the Breakfast buffet, but it is also very poor to average. They make good bacon and sausage patties, but that’s about all I liked. They constantly run out of food/utensils/juice/milk and they do not have enough staff to refill quickly. Or maybe they don’t care to. They also don’t have enough workers to keep this food area clean. Floors are always sticky from spilled juices. Counters dirty with scraps of food. They also advertise a 24/7 tea and coffee station, but then the hot water was empty with and no one in the kitchen to replace it. A very disappointing stay overall and I will not be coming back.

        Michael, Asia and Victoria were great . I received great directions and instructions how to use the subway. My room was clean and the staff was outstanding . Could not ask for a better stay. I will be switching from the Fairfield Inn to the Hampton Inns on my hotel needs.

        The staff was top notch: very helpful, kind, personable. Everyone we talked to when calling the hotel before arrival and at the front desk after checking in was a pleasure to deal with and extremely helpful. The hotel itself is in a desperate need of an update. Couldn’t get the phone to work in my room or my sister’s joined room to call for extra towels. Perfect location for visit to the Summit, Bryant Park, Grand Central. 5th avenue shops are a bit of a hike but walkable. Breakfast was edible but extra staff to keep food stocked and area cleaned would have been nice. We did wait for refills many times. We weren’t in a huge hurry so it wasn’t a big deal at all. We never had to wait too long for the elevator and we were in the 9th floor. There are only about 8 rooms per floor.

        This hotel was an excellent selection for our stay! Very clean hotel. The lobby is somewhat small but that's not a complaint at all, just an observation. We stayed on the 5th floor at the front of the hotel and it was very quiet. Beds were comfortable. No children running down the hallways. The hallways are too small for that, I believe there are only 8 rooms per floor. Very little traffic noise. It was great. I read that other reviews said the elevators were slow but for the most part, they operated quite well. There are two of them. This hotel is an easy walk to Grand Central Station. The hotel is in an excellent location, and we felt it was in a very safe area. Maybe the breakfast was not the greatest. However, it was a good breakfast for a hotel, it's not a restaurant, right? There aren't any clocks radios in the room. When I am home at night, I do sometimes wake up and look to see what time it is. Again, that's not a complaint just an observation. The rooms were cleaned almost daily. I felt terrible that we forgot to leave a tip to the maid, they did a great job with the room. All in all this was a great choice and we were very satisfied and pleased with our stay!
