Great hotel, down a narrow alley way but hotel itself had a great atmosphere. Room was very nice and spacious, it came with quite a few amenities and food in the fridge. Staff were friendly and it was a good location to move around Kyoto walking towards more central food and shopping areas.

This is a hotel for exploring the city. It's close to the karasuma goyo station so it is easy to get around. Unfortunately there are limited dining around the hotel so be prepared to travel quite a bit for decent food. It's close to Gion and not far from Nishiki market. Staff is super friendly. English can be a chalange some times but they make all the effort to understand with translation apps and whatnot. The beds are a bit to hard for my back so it was about 3 nights to get a custom to them. Rooms are large and clean. A great stay in Kyoto if the town is the important things
