Lifesaver, due to the rain, I had to work in the city that weekend and then wham - FLOODS, so this hotel was our home for 3 days as both roads to the northern beaches were closed off. Rooms clean and tidy and location in the right spot in the city, Woolworths across the road and not far away from the Esplanade. The balcony to die for, loved it, sat up there for our meals and just people watched. Place is lovely and so quiet. Really enjoyed our stay and thanks to the lovely receptionist we were able to add another night due to the floods. Rooms are clean because they have exceptional cleaners, so thanks to them our room was a nice welcoming. This will be our new to go stay when we hit the city. 10/10.

I was recommended multiple times on the website to change to a larger room for the same price. On the second day after arriving, I found that the windows had no glass (broken). This was full of safety concerns and a waste of electricity bills. I cried for the polar bears. Apart from this broken window, the service and everything else was great😃

Good location, decent price. there is one aspect of this hotel which i haven't decided if its a pro or con....the hallway on the top floor is.....never ending...we had a room down the end of it and i would frequently have this experience where the longer i walked....the further away the end got...it was like a real life Hitchcock zoom effect. On one occasion whilst heading back to my room, i met another traveler, we struck up a conversation and quickly became friends, sharing life stories and experiences, we shared food and water and at one point when the soles of my shoes had worn out he offered to carry me the remainder of the way....like Sam carried Frodo the final steps into the fires of Mt Doom....only.....unfortunately my friend did not survive, i buried him on side of the hall near a fire exit, took his shoes and continued my journey...i am writing this review now as the battery on my phone dies, still no end in sight. I wonder what my room is like...i wonder if anyone has ever gazed upon its fresh turned down sheets and en suite bathroom...or if the tea services are as brilliant as the fables say....goodbye.....and goodluck to all those who follow in my footsteps...

Pros: Hotel is directly in the city centre. Prime location. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Cons: They require a $100 security deposit for the room. As of the day of writing this review, it's been 11 days, I still have not gotten my $100 back. There is a 0% chance that I shouldn't as I didn't even sleep in the room. I only used the shower. That's it. Curtains do not open all the way so it's difficult to see out of the windows. The windows do not fully close so the various city sounds enter the room easily. This also means the aircon is basically useless as it just goes out the window. I reserved a king room. The bed was just two beds pushed together rather than an actual king bed.

This is a large, cheaper motel type accommodation in central Cairns. The rooms are nice, with everything you'd expect from city accommodation and at a reasonable price. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Nice breakfast room and spacious verandah for drinks and relaxing.

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
