        I always stay here as we come down two or three times a year, These last two years have really gone downhill in room quality in general. The lobby is very nice, but that's not where we sleep. This last room we got was very unmaintained and just seemed uncomfortable and a bit dirty. Our shower was a bit rusty from one of the grab handles. Our sink was broken in various places. The silicone on the sink was completely gone. I could see it every time I brushed my teeth. It's not too much of a big deal, but it still bothered me. The roof was patched near the desk and was pretty rough to the eye. The hallway was filled with trash. You'd think adults can properly place trash where it goes, but there's always a dirty one or two.... .my whole stay, I had to look and smell at food that was left in hallways from guests' food trays. At first, I thought it was an identical meal asked for every day until I noticed the orange juice quantity never changed, lol. I just think that for the price and service fees, the hotel would upkeep the hotel a bit more, especially outside with the overflowing trashcans. Maybe I'm just picky, but I will begin to stay somewhere else. I cut my days short here and will stay the remaining of my time at another hotel due to these reasons.

        Seriously if you want the best night to spend at a very competitive price you cannot find a better hotel than Hilton San Diego mission Valley, Management is at the best level and it's Director is a real gentleman, service is excellent, food is Excellent.. stuff is excellent , location, location is perfect. so what else can you ask for at a very competitive price If you go to San Diego try this hotel and you always use it again and again.

        Check in counter and everyone we talked to were nice and helpful. Room was nice and clean. However, there's no valet parking or bell hop service. Not recommended for people with kids for that reason. Parking spots near the front are very tight spaces. There is covered parking garage within walking distance. Parking is $34/night.

        I stayed in October this year for a business trip. It was the worse experience ever. Toilet clogged and overflow.. asked for coat hangers and it took them to get me a couple 36 hrs. Rooms and hotel is very outdated. Well hotel management called and a left a message about 2 weeks ago to discuss further. Guess what I called back and left a message for the manager. Nobody returned my call yet.

        Looks nice on the outside. Location is fantastic. But the basement smells like sewage, the bathrooms are incredibly small, the water pressure is low and the temperature changes from hot to cool; the air conditioning doesn’t work very well in the rooms. While watching tv, the signal drops every 40-70 min in the middle of watching something, turns off and resets; beds are too firm, pillows too deflated and there are barely any electrical outlets that work, much less hold your plug. If Hilton did a remodel I would definitely recommend this one but not sure it’s worth the money.
