        THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! MUST READ I choose this Hotel last minute to accompany friends and family for New Years celebration- After hours of driving to this hotel and checking in the location was the only thing decent. The hotel has 37 floors and only one elevator worked!!! The hotel was a disaster! Parents and families were irritated and waiting for elevators for most of the stay! I waited for at least 30 min each elevator need to get off or on the floor assigned that was not walkable!!!! There were several occasions I had to call down and request the elevator be sent to my floor manually for me and my family. My son walked 15 floors 15!!!!!!! BECAUSE HE GOT STUCK ON ANOTHER FLOOR!!!! Completely outrageous!!!!! The staff was very degrading and rude! Extremely dismissive, aggressive, and disrespectful -even sent threats through a text from the hotel text line. Specifically, the agent "Rain" made the experience completely horrendous! After a mishap during check in the hotel staff asked for me to come and clear up some information and I was approached by Rain with the worst service in my entire life! After several conversations with Blanca working on clearing up what is needed, the agent Rain consistently harassed and attempted to belittle me during the entire interaction! I requested a supervisor and was shortly approached by Jose, who initially listened to what was happening and then vanished to the other hotel Comfort Inn where I learned he manages and is not the manager at the Holiday Inn---Blanca ended up circling back to me and finding where the issue was and handling it. The entire stay was dreadful! Rooms are small and the hallways will not fit more than 2 people at a time! I plan to escalate this to higher ups as the behavior, language, steps of resolutions, operations and overall customer service was horrific and awful. I do not recommend anyone to stay here for any reason for any amount of time!

        From a location standpoint, the hotel was very central to the majority of tourist attractions. From a cleanliness standpoint, the lobby, dining room and hotel rooms were very neat and clean. Each day, the rooms were cleaned well with new towels provided. The only thing was that our thermostat did not work and the first couple days it was quite cool and when someone came to service, it was then too hot but we did made do. The continental breakfast was good as well, a good variety of food options available and the staff made sure that the dishes were topped off through the entire breakfast period. The service needs some work! Prior to arriving, I had called the night before to discuss the option of an early check in as we had earlier flight and wanted to make the most of our first day. At that time, I was told that I was added to the list and just needed to discuss upon arrival. We got to the hotel and initially the gentleman working the desk but kind and told me I was on the list but would call me when the room was ready. We left to tour around and came back hours earlier which ended up being approx. 15 minutes prior to the check-in time previously advised but still nothing available and was left to wait in the lobby. From there, we watched many other people check-in and were able to go into their rooms without question. It was only until we went to discuss a late check-out the night before we left that we discovered the reason that we weren't given early check-in was because we were not IHG members. Its very disappointing that at no point we provided this information and were just left hanging -- even after the multiple attempts made to arrange the early check-in. Simple communication of what was going on would have gone a long way but all it did was leave a bad taste in our mouth on our experience. Truthfully, it was the check-in/check-out that really ruined it for us so hopefully improvement can be made to that! The only positive experience we had with service near the front desk was with Freddy regarding our luggage, Freddy was fantastic.

        The location of the hotel is fabulous, walking distance from all the midtown attractions. The hotel is old and does not have anything pretty to see. Like other hotels in NY the rooms are small , but this one needs a lot of upgrades, I see maintenance people cleaning a lot so at least they try to keep it clean. The included hot breakfast was good and with a good variety of food to choose .

        First mother/daughter trip to NYC and chose this hotel. It is very convenient to the subway stations and MTA to get around. For NYC, I did not expect a large room, so with that mindset ahead of time, our room was very nice and big enough for us. Free breakfast each morning, free water bottles every day, and the cookies and other treats at the end of the day made everything really great. Anabella, Valerie, and Christian stayed in touch with me by text message to make sure we were good and if we needed anything. I have never had a hotel.do that before. Truly AWESOME! When I travel to NYC again, this is the hotel I am choosing. oh and even though it is listed as being in times square we did not have to worry about all the noise and ruckus, it's in time Square but away from some of the busier parts so no worries about noise keeping you awake!

        For a one night stay this place was great and we had an amazing view! We're not from NY so I'm not sure what the average size of hotel rooms are but it was pretty small. I definitely disliked not having a fridge or even a microwave especially for how expensive the rooms are, I also had to check back with them to see why my car was still by the hotel and not parked. Only one elevator was working and being on the 36th waiting for the elevator was pretty annoying but Emilio was the sweetest operating it for everyone. The ladys at the front desk where wonderful and sweet
