I booked this hotel as part of a train and hotel package. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel turned out to be quite nice. The hotel staff was very helpful as they spoke English since my Japanese is very limited. I was really impressed with the breakfast buffet. Breakfast had a good selection of many different items. I would recommend any staying at the hotel to start off your day with their breakfast since it is a good value based on the selections and food quality.

Small room with 2 large Queen beds with limited space for luggage. Bathroom had separate shower but no bathtub. A green approach with no services during the stay including no bottled water. Located next to Double Tree Hilton, train station and within walking distance to popular UNESCO temple site.

The hotel is located 1 min away from the closest station and very easy to find. It is convenient to access popular attractions in Kyoto, with convenient stores, drug store, cafe & restaurants near by. A stone throw away was the river where you can take a stroll or rent a bicycle to ride & enjoy the serene view. I was lucky to get a twin room upgrade with two beds even though I was traveling alone. The room was clean and designed fitting with Kyoto. Everything you need including safe, fridge, air purifier & humidifier can be found inside the room. Extra amenities are available to be picked up / rented free of charge at the lobby in case you have forgot any toiletries. Also, the bathroom with the two shower head options was divine and it was the best shower I’ve had in Japan here. The service was excellent from check in to check out. The gentlemen who checked me in explained everything clearly and even guided me all the way until I entered the elevator with a bow. Upon check out, the staffs walked to the entrance and thanked me as I departed. A little hand warmer was gifted to me with "happy new year:)" written on it to keep me warm in the cold weather. I left with a smile and my heart filled with warmth by their kind gesture. Thank you for the amazing experience and I appreciate the ometenashi service :) I would definitely recommend Hotel Abest if you are looking to stay in Kyoto. I would love to stay again if I were to visit the area in the future! Ps. Breakfast was made with high quality ingredients & very delicious with plenty of options from Kyoto style small dishes, western breakfast options and drink bar.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel ! Ours was room only, we didn't want the hotel breakfast as we wanted to get out n explore the area n have different choices. The location is superb for us ! Not smacked in the middle of crowded streets n buildings but next to the Kamo River with wide open spaces n yet, just a few minutes of walking, will get you within the ancient streets (Kiyomizu-dera n Hokan-ji are walkable), Nishiki Market n Shijo Area are only 15mins walk, with many restaurants around. Also, if you walk along the Kamo River towards Kawaramachi-Dori Street area, less than 10 minutes away, there are plenty of restaurants that have alfresco dinning areas facing the river, very cozy n nice ! Walking or cycling along the river is very nice too. Okay back to the hotel, they have one of the nicest quality bath / shower wash n shampoo. The bathroom/toilet ! The toilet bowl seat cover is auto sensing n will lift open when you step in. It is also nicely warmly heated. You'll have many buttons to control your toilet seat 😂They have Grohe shower headset n has constant steady temperature control and good pressure ! Staff are really friendly n helpful n always very willing to offer their advice. Wifi has good strong signal too. So yeah, we loved our stay at the hotel n our experience may vary from others..... But we will definitely recommend !

Bed was very uncomfortable by Western standards. Others may like a firm bed, so I'm sure it's a matter of preference, but I nearly moved to the floor as I thought it would be softer.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
