Love this hotel! The location was perfect, it’s near the subway and we found some excellent food places nearby. The staff was extremely friendly and knows English. The rooms were very clean, newly updated and quiet at nights. If you pack heavy, just know the rooms are a bit small, but we had 2 big suitcases and made it work with no problems. Would definitely recommend!

Overall, it is an awesome experience for me to stay here, with passionate and friendly staff! They were very helpful in assisting me to reserve table of restaurants in Kyoto area before I arrived to Kyoto, and even recommended me some alternatives when some of my selected restaurants were full. Although it’s a very tiny hotel, it provides you the best privacy to enjoy the stay here. Good to mention that the hotel entrance is quite hidden even it is on the main street. Although it confused me when I first arrived, it’s very clear once you realize where’s the entrance.

From the moment you walk in, it feels very welcoming and luxurious. The staff are very kind, helpful, and informative. We were fortunate enough to get a free upgrade to a room with a view right next to Nijo-jo Castle. The room itself is amazing as well. Cost is affordable as well so you get amazing value here. If we ever stay in Kyoto again, we are for sure picking this spot. Our only very minor issue was the hotel being right next to a busy road. You clearly hear all the traffic constantly with the occasional ambulance/fire units. If they soundproof the rooms, this hotel would be perfect!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Canata Kyoto for only 1 night while enroute to from Fukuoka to Tokyo and we wish we could have stayed longer! Late in the evening we started experiencing some issues with our shower and after speaking quickly with front desk, they immediately offered for us to switch rooms. It was hands down the best customer service experience I’ve had dealing with a hotel. The hotel and rooms were clean, welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. Will definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Kyoto!

I have traveled the world and can confidently say that Angel at Hotel Canata is one of the most professional, knowledgeable and truly NICE persons that I have ever met. He made our short visit and absolutely wonderful experience. When we come back, there is no question as to where our accommodations will be. Angel deserves a pay increase as soon as possible! He is a valuable asset to the establishment.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
