A two star hotel with a five star heart and service. Although it looks a bit run down, this hotel is safe, clean and comfortable. You won't find better value for your money anywhere in Paris. And you can't beat the location— just a stone's throw from the Bastille metro station and a hop, skip and a jump from the Gare de Lyon. There's a fabulous crepe restaurant next door and several cafés within stumbling distance. The quieter rooms are in the back as rue de Roquette can get a bit rowdy at night.

Insufficient sound insulation: we could hear a mother yelling all evening. No elevator. Finally, I requested an invoice by email which I am still waiting for.

AMAZING, how you can rent this type of room. On the top floor, stifling heat, explosive complaints, degraded paint, dust, broken shower, stained mattress, box spring on the floor, how can you find yourself renting your rooms for 120 euros a night, it's not even worth the furniture. The owner should look in the mirror.

A SHAME I'm going to list all the one night scandals Room at €92, dysfunctional light outside the bathroom TV doesn't work, neither does the radiator The wardrobe only opens halfway, as does the window which you have to open to hope to get out onto the “balcony”. Let's talk about the balcony, the paint on their black chairs was not dry, I'll let you imagine the state of our pants... To end on a pleasant note, the welcome from the smiling young man added a slight touch of cheerfulness to this morbid stay. TO STRONGLY AVOID
