        Very disappointed with this hotel!! Upon our departure, we left our suitcases at the reception under the responsibility of the staff, while we went out to lunch before catching our train. To our surprise, when we returned 2 hours later, our suitcases had been stolen by another guest staying at the hotel. We waited 5 hours, the time it took to identify the thief using the cameras, to wait for the police to arrive, to file a complaint, and finally to recover our bags (which contained half of our belongings). We had to buy new train tickets (we left the city at 8 pm instead of 3 pm). Many of our belongings were still missing from our bags and were never found. Despite being promised a refund, no compensation was offered by the hotel (for new train tickets, lost belongings, lost personal keys). After attempting to call the hotel numerous times, no action was taken. Avoid at all costs, a very bad experience.

        Lovely and colonial styled. Nice staff and pretty close to everything, shops, public transport, point of interest, located in the city centre of Porto. They give you towels, gel and soup, also has a small fridge empty if you want to put fruits and wine. We missed the toothpaste.

        This place should not even have a star. Total thumbs down. It is a overpriced dump. Overpriced by toe total charge. In fact if they paid me I still would not stay here. There is no way to get warm in this hotel or dry. The excuses are half baked and ludicrous.

        Nice old hotel with more charm than other options, plus free luggage storage for guests and an early (2pm) check in. But whomever invented the sound that squeals from the street below to indicate the pedestrian traffic light is green should be made to live with it for the rest of their lives — it’s not dissimilar to tinnitus! Otherwise, a nice stay.

        Good: close to the centre of Porto. Easy access to public transport. Issues: Lift not working and we stayed on the 4th floor. Shower was a bit hard to get in and out.
