        I don’t get all the negative reviews I’ve seen. I booked the hotel for about €70 per night in late august (quite cheap) and they even gave me a free upgrade from a 1-person room to a 2-person room which was great. For the money I didn’t expect much and neither should u. The bed is great, the bathroom is clean, but everything is a bit outdated/old. The receptionists were always trying to help me. Lastly, the location was great, 10min walk to trevi or spanish stairs and a bus stop + metro nearby. And there was a cafe and a restaurant right next to the hotel for some cheap breakfast or takeaway dinner.

        The hotel is fine to sleep but the rooms need to be redone. So many broken stuff and mold in the shower…. Also the shower are so small. If you’re a US size 12 and up, you will graze the dirty shower walls while getting in. Also its so small that you cannot bend over to wash your legs. I could also hear everything happening in the corridors. The walls are paper thin and we would hear the water in the walls going in and out as our neighbours would shower. The staff is very nice and try to accommodate you the best they can but the rooms are not worthy of 3 stars

        - How this hotel managed to wrangle a three star rating is beyond me. The way the hotel is presented in its pictures and description, both here and on Booking.com, borders on deceptive. - The hotel is located on the four and fifth floors on a nondescript building on Via Lombardi - you have to buzz to be let in, then head to the fourth floor where reception is. Check-in was a breeze. They give you a physical key that needs to be returned to the front desk whenever you go out. The location is pretty good, although it can be hilly depending on the direction you go. The A line Barberini stop is close, and the hotel is within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and other cultural monuments in that area. - The room itself leaves a lot to be desired. The description stated two twins or one double bed. While the bed looked like a double, it was actually two twins pushed together with a fitted sheet over the top. The description also stated that there was a balcony, but all we had was a window with a courtyard view of nothing in particular. There is a decently sized closet for hanging clothes or storage, as well as a working mini fridge. There is only one bedside outlet, with another next to the desk near the floor, which was a minor annoyance. The safe did not work - we were told by staff we could leave valuables in a locker in the lobby...which defeats the point of using a safe? The whole place has a musty smell. The rooms definitely need an update, and honestly look nothing like the pictures. On the plus side, the air conditioning was strong enough to counter the humid June weather. - The bathroom was overall pretty clean. Sink and toilet both worked fine, and there's a bidet if that's your thing. The shower was very small - I'm an average-sized man, but it was so small that I had trouble maneuvering around. Anyone on the larger side would definitely have a difficult time. At the very least, there was consistent hot water. - Staff is nice. Daily cleaners do a good enough job of making the bed and changing out towels. Besides the aforementioned lockers, there are no amenities to speak of, so don't expect breakfast. Wifi trickles in and out and is not dependable. - If this was a hostel, these things would be forgivable. But Hotel Garda is priced roughly the same as other mid-budget hotels in the area. For that price, there are certain expectations in regards to accommodations and amenities that a hotel should meet, but Garda falls far short. Avoid if you can.

        Room are disgusting, smell like vomit, the lady from front desk try her best cleaning! but the smell was still there! Next day the move us to another room! And they give us a discount! They understand the situation and how we feel it with the circustance. Service was ok! The good thing is the location

        The room was disgusting. My partner had to clean the shower head cause we were worried to get infected. I asked reception if the fridge is working she said yes but I don’t know if even she was aware there is a fridge. Room was frizzing and smelling damp. Couldn’t get sleep too noisy , ask reception she said they are full. Not signal for internet. We paid £400 for 2 nights that is madness not even a kettle in the room. If you want to have a good stay DO NOT BOOK this hotel. Reception not give any info I don’t know how can this hotel be 3 STARS
