Not sure why there are so many good reviews. We stayed here back in 1995. And back then our room was way in the back past the fountain. It was a standard room a bit small but beautiful. The reception was grand and the staff were very prompt and helpful. This time we had a room just behind the lobby up the stairs. It was also a standard, small but so outdated they have not changed a thing. The rug was disgusting. Please change it. For $300.00 a night this is robbery. And when we arrived ( late at night and tired) we had to wait approx. 20 mins. Or more before we could check in as the gentleman at the reception was on the phone. And it was not busy. This is just not acceptable. And to top it off both nights a car alarm would go off 3 or 4 times. Will never stay again.

Everything about this place was wonderful. A quiet respite in downtown San Jose. The staff were very accommodating as we requested an iron and ironing board. Which they brought right away. The terrace and jacuzzi area were also very nice. We had a Superior room that opened to a small garden area. Which was so beautiful and quiet. The bed was a dream to sleep on and the amenities of the room were exceptional. Highly recommended as it is only about .5 kilo from the main downtown area and easily walkable.

Lovely place to spend a night in San Jose before flying out. Tidy and cozy rooms that open into a courtyard and a wonderful open air restaurant and bar that serves excellent cocktails (try the Tico sour for a taste of CR!!). Hasta pronto Gran De Oro! Our general experience in San Jose: After we arrived we walked from the hotel to the central market on Avenida 2 and then Avenida Central, both were very well populated and felt very safe (some of the side streets not too much). As night fell we took the staff’s (and the internet’s) advice and ubered from the hotel to dinner and back. Ubers were plentiful and I don’t think we would feel great walking around SJ at night without first becoming more familiar with the city.

I decided to book this hotel for my Family, because I was in the restautant before and I thought that will be a nice place. But unfortunately it was the worst decision in my life.. when we came to the hotel, the lady even didnt let me in, because she say "that Im not a guest of the hotel", and when I tried to explain, that I just want to change my clothes, because we have a dinner here, she just ignore me with the laught.. I made a reservation in the Hotel Restaurant at night, that my Family can rest a little bit, and invite my parents in law that they could meet each others first time.. so I spend few hours, waiting and freezing in the lobby.. in all this time, the recepctionist just sitting there and laughting.. so I dont think that you should treated like this anywone.. it was just rude, thats the reasson I decided to write this coment. I dont recomend this place for anyone.. Ive been in a lot of hotels in Costa Rica, and it was first time, when somone treated me like this..

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
