        I am an All Accor member and always prioritize to be in their chain hotels. Unfortunately, when I got to Ibis Providencia Santiago I was surprised that the Air conditioning didn't work for the cool function, only for the heat one. Since it was sold on the website that the room had Air conditioning I was extremely disappointed. If the hotel technically cannot have both cool and heat function available at the same time, it should not be announced and charged as if there was AC available in the room. When I asked in the lobby how I could get the cool function, they said I would have to pay extra to have that. So I thought, "if I can get it by paying, then there is a possibility to have it available". Then why wasn't it available in the first place since the room had an AC description in their room amenities? I feel like I was played and I do not recommend this hotel because of this. I have never seen anything like that in any of the Accor chain hotels I have stayed at. So I firmly believe this is an exception that hopefully can be treated and addressed properly. However, I would not recommend this hotel due tho this.

        Just a s a general comment, the safe box never worked in our room 1008, even though we reported it as soon as we arrived and the other concern is the elevators, every time there was one that wasn't working or two of them at a time. The rest was good.

        I had a room assigned, but was dirty, full of hair in the shower and sink. Went to reception and had a room change, but was dirtier than the first one! hair and dust on the floor, the sink was disgusting, It was late and I was tired, just dealt with it, and on my check out I told the person in the counter, didn't care much about my input. First floor looks is deceiving, as you go to the rooms, the hallways look that they didn't had maintenance in long time, also rooms look dirty and not taken care of.

        Very comfortable stay here over four nights. Staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. The rooms could do with a fresh coat of paint but otherwise it's all good. Good breakfast in the morning with lots of fresh fruit, bread, cold meat, cheese and scrambled eggs. Excellent location, close to public transport, small supermarket, local shops, cafés and restaurants. I would happily stay here again.
