        I stayed at La Vega for my third time last month, and it gets better and better every time. The junior suite was newly remodeled. It was spotless, decorated nicely, and I loved it! The staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant, and pool staff, were wonderful - very friendly and eager to make sure I had everything I needed, both before and during my stay. I sent numerous e-mails prior to my stay with various questions, and I received prompt, helpful replies from Antonio. The transportation arrangements they arranged for me from the airport to Hotel La Vega went smoothly. The view from every balcony is beautiful, the pool is wonderful, the location is quiet and I can't wait to return!

        The hotel is in a quiet area in the center of the island. The rooms have just been renovated, with a simple and attractive design. Hospitality is their strong point. The pool restaurant area was our favorite and we visited it every day, the food was amazing. I also liked all the greenery in the area.

        On the good side: location, staff is very courteous and professional (well aside from the owner - more later), pool is nice and the restaurant (NOT the breakfast) serves good food. However, I am sorry to say that I would never go there again. For one, I found disgusting that they served the same breakfast buffet (aka, leftovers from previous day) for four days in a row - even the fruit was the same from day 1 (clearly rotten)!!! On day 5 they finally made fresh eggs / bakery and fruit. Also, room service charges 10 euro per person you order for on top of the bill. So for three people you will pay 30 euro for room Service. And last but foremost , the owner who sits right by the pool is a woman who yells at guests and finds it appropriate to mortify and INSULT those who stay at her hotel . We wanted to leave but for obvious reasons there is a no cancellation policy. Dont be fooled by the relatively reasonable room price, you are much better off in a ton of other places .

        Floor never wiped. Overall untidy. TV is an old PC monitor and tiny. No coffee or tea in room facilities. Roller shutter doesn't work properly. Wardrobe smells mouldy. Food is not impressive. You have to call few times for room service or reception to answer. Not worth the money.

        This hotel was really disappointing. Having booked a deluxe sea view room we had the following issues during our three night stay. Filthy bathroom with broken toilet pan, urine stained tiles , dirty grout and shower curtain. The lifts were broken for two days, we were given the wrong room keys when returning to hotel, the pool staff were unhelpful and clearly more focussed upon selling sun beds to none residents, we would never stay here again and suggest you don't either.
