This is a nice hotel with extraordinarily friendly staff. They also have a great terrace which invites you to rest and enjoy the evening after a long day exploring the city. You'll find a lot of boardgames which makes it perfect to stay here in a group. On top of that I was offered different rooms to choose from when I arrived.

Malik is a great owner who will pick you up from the station if you ask. He can sort anything! The food is also great, highly recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast!

We didn‘t stay over night in the hotel mango garden, but booked several activities there. We rented a scooter, drove by taxi to Dambulla and Sigiriya and also had a massage there. Everything worked perfectly fine. The scooter was there on time and in a very good condition, the driver on our tour was super friendly and helpful and the minibus itself was more than comfortable. We also liked our massage, it was really relaxing. Malik, the owner of the hostel, is not only a funny, but also very helpful man. You can ask him everything and rely on his words! All the things he promised got true - so don‘t hesitate to go there :-)!

Hey, To the foreigners! Don't take the tuktuk from the hôtel it's too much !! They charge 20€ the day. Bed are comfortable but careful if it rains, in my rooms there was a hole and drops of water. Also the area is not very quiet. Restaurant too expensive also, there is better ones around. People's who word there are great and tried they're best too make you comfortable. Malik is a kind man and a business man. All the best, Claire

Wonderful homely guest house, family run with friendly helpful staff and a relaxed laid back atmosphere. Malik, the owner, has a sharp sense of humour! Rooms are clean and tidy with comfortable beds, mosquito nets and fridges. Well located above the lakeshore ( catches the afternoon breezes) and within easy walking distance of town centre, lake and Temple. Train or bus station pick-ups by arrangement and tours to places of interest are available. Highly recommended.
