Rooms were spacious and well designed, hotel staff were amazing as they gave customised service when introducing the breakfast food to us in the morning and they were also friendly and greeted us all the time. Location is convenient as it is near to the train station and to those wanting to visit the attractions around Florence I would say its walkable from the hotel's location. Overall, a very enjoyable and pleasant time staying at this hotel.

The hotel is lovely and staff are friendly. The room is a nice size and has a dresser for hanging things / putting clothes away. Breakfast provided is great, a few options and filled us until late in the afternoon! The accommodation in the rooms above us were quite loud, I'm unsure if they're apart of the hotel or not, but lots of stomping late at night, perhaps running a dryer or machine of some sort around 11pm twice, which reverberated through our room and was a little annoying, but we managed sleep. The bed was hard which I liked, partner did not (not easy to satisfy everyone lol) The hotel is walking distance to good food and the famous sights of Florence. It's a great spot. I would stay here again!

BED BUGS! Avoid like the plague! Stayed here last week with a group of 8 girls, in 4 different rooms. All 4 of the rooms were infested with BED BUGS and we have all come out in hideous rashes and bites all over our bodies. We alerted the staff who didn’t care at all and didn’t even do anything. Terrible staff and customer service. Should be shut down.

An ok stay at Hotel Mario’s. However, when I arrived the sheets had hair all over them. When I asked the staff to please put on new sheets, he did so very reluctantly, asking me how many more nights I was staying there. Also, there was very loud yelling and screaming below until about 2 or 3 am. The breakfast was quite good but extremely limited vegan options. I would not stay here again despite the fact that it was a short five minute walk to Santa Maria Novella station.

Couldn't have been happier with this hotel. The included breakfast every morning was delicious. We also loved the location as it was just close enough to the Basilica and the main square to walk, but far enough that it is quiet. The street has some great cafes and restaurants to eat at right below too.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
