        I stayed at the Hotel Miramare in Rapallo, and I must say that my experience was extremely disappointing. First of all, the fact that the hotel doesn't have a parking lot is a significant inconvenience. We were forced to park on the street, which made our stay uncomfortable from the beginning. The rooms were a real issue. They were extremely small, with barely enough space for the bed and a tiny closet. The "sea view," despite the hotel's name, was practically non-existent unless you wanted to look at it sideways. The beds were uncomfortable, and although the bathroom windows could be opened, it was preferable to keep them closed as they faced directly into the neighbors' apartment, compromising privacy. The hotel's elevator was clearly outdated and often got stuck, causing inconvenience to guests. Furthermore, room cleaning started at 9 in the morning, disrupting those who wanted to sleep a bit longer. The rooms had balconies, but they were shared with the neighboring room, compromising both privacy and security. However, I want to highlight that the receptionist at the Hotel Miramare was exceptionally kind and helpful. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to assist guests stood out positively during our stay, and it was appreciated amidst the other challenges we encountered. All in all, the Hotel Miramare does not deserve its claimed four-star rating. It markets itself as a high-class hotel, but in reality, it's more of a three-star establishment. I hope this review can be helpful to other travelers looking for a comfortable stay in Rapallo.

        Very friendly staff, fantastic location with a great view down the main drive and over the Mediterranean. The breakfast room was really well-stocked with a nice variety of cheeses, pastries and fruit. They had gluten-free pastries as well. The waiter doing the coffees was a lot of fun. We were sad to leave.

        Walking up to this hotel is impressive. Beachfront, classy exterior, full window dining rooms and lobby, marble floors & staircases and a quaint old iron elevator. But, first impressions were misleading: pretty on the outside, but your comfort is sacrificed. Behind the fancy exterior were unswept floors, overheated rooms, showers & sinks which struggled to drain, and a couple staff members that couldn’t accommodate the need for heat & noise relief. The first clue should've been at check-in when the 3rd floor room windows were open & heat poured in while a broken a/c unit recirculated warm air. Tough to endure a sweltering night without even a fan to move the air. Add to that a Bar beside this hotel that had a DJ yelling until 12:30am while blaring his music. This isn’t unusual, the hotel walls are paper thin both inside & out. One can hear noise at the beachfront nightly, and conversations within the hotel. 3 cold showers/day helped to keep cool even after switching rooms the next day. Such a time consuming chore instead of exploring. The a/c doesn’t cool a room or it’s occupants well. The rooms are large, and there are amenities, but in July/August it’s simply too hot for this hotel to cool down. The a/c units are old & often need a reset or more Freon gas and staff aren’t always available for that job. Breakfast buffet had a good selection including GF items, but by 9am most food was gone & rarely replaced even if breakfast was advertised until 10am. Specialty coffees were a nice touch.

        A great location in the heart of Rapallo. Close to the water, restaurants, train station etc. The rooms are very small and you can hear a lot of noise during the night, both from inside and outside the hotel. Shower recess is tiny and a larger than average person would struggle to turn around to wash. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was also a good selection.

        We returned to this lovely hotel where we first stayed 10 years ago. From the moment we arrived we were so impressed. Most welcoming reception, a lovely room with balcony (and new bathrooms) Breakfast was really good. All the staff - reception, breakfast and housekeeping were so good. We will be back again!
