Rooms are small as expected for a Tokyo hotel but the shower was surprisingly big and comfrotable. Staff are friendly and professional and were able to communicate in English well. Close to the subway exit but as others have mentioned, there is no stairs at the exit so carrying heavy luggage could be a problem. Lots of things to eat nearby

The room was spacious for a Tokyo hotel room. The huge daybed took up a lot of space so there was little room to move between the beds. But the beauty of the daybed was that we could open up both our large suitcases on it and organise our stuff. The beds were comfortable. But the duvet covers looked a little worn. The single pillow was soft. There was a little opening in the headboard just above the pillow. It had a USB port and a 2 flat pin power outlet. A nice touch. Note: No 3-pin outlets here. They provided 6 hangers and there were many knobs on the wall by the TV to hang your clothes. The bathroom was very new and clean. The mirror was big and there was sufficient counter space to place your toiletries. They provided good quality shampoo, hair conditioner, body shampoo and hand soap. Note : they charge for ladies toiletries 250¥ (if you didn't bring your own). This was different from other Japanese hotels we stayed at so far where they provided free cleansing oil, face wash, toners and moisturizers. The breakfast was really nice for a small hotel. A full spread of Western and Japanese food. Good quality. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful with directions. I'm taking away a star for location only because the nearest exit (A1) from the subway Oedo Line didn't have an elevator. So to get here I had to surface at exit A5 which was 10 mins away. However, it is only 7 minutes walk on street level to a JR train station Okachimachi. This place is also near enough to walk to Ueno Park and the Ameyoko shopping district although I wouldn't recommend the latter. It has too many touts. Overall a good hotel. I would stay again.

Stayed on May 2023 Easy access from Narita airport, took the skyliner to Kerisei Ueno and a short walk (10 approximately) to the hotel. It's close to the centre but not too close, so the area is not noisy and feel safe. It's very close to Takeya which sells local cosmetic, electrics and medicine etc. The room is clean and simple, got everything you need. The bathroom separated the bathing area and toilet. The toiletries are good quality too. It's not fancy or premier if that's what you hoping to get, but based as it's not particularly expensive, it is a very good option.

TLDR: This hotel delivers the budget premium status in many ways except the room is too tiny for 3 pax. Staff are smiley, friendly and always eager to help. Amenities are provided, slippers, bath towels, robes and bins are changed everyday. Check in and out were smooth. We dropped our luggage in the morning, and when we returned to check in in the afternoon, the luggage was in our room already! Location is fantastic, near train stations, esp the Yamanote line. There are plenty of eateries and convenient stores, and the Ameyogo shopping streets are nearby. We could see the Skytree from our room too. The only complaint I have is that the room is too tiny for 3 pax. There's hardly walking space with your luggage on the floor. We had to eat breakfast (bought from 7-11) on the bed! It probably works for people who travel minimalist. Would I stay here again? If two pax, yes, because it's very worth the value they provide.
