        Great location with just a short walk from the main train station! It was a clean (simple) room, and the staff was nice. We saw there was luggage storage and selected the hotel partly for this reason, but when we got there, we discovered the luggage is just all left in a corner and not locked away, which made me a bit nervous. Our items were fine thankfully. It seemed to be a safe area, and it was very lively (and somewhat loud outside) at night (we kept the windows open for air and could hear more outside). Also, our room was close to reception, and we could hear almost everyone coming by that area and the breakfast area in the morning. All in all, it was a fine stay.

        We had a great stay at Hotel Nuova. The staff were so friendly, and also let us store our luggage prior to and after checkout. The breakfast was delicious, and the location handy to sights, train station & great food. Great value for money. Thank you.

        Physical: excellent location, clean rooms, air conditioning, no lift, relatively quiet for where you are, good breakfast. Human Kindness: none. Staff friendly, but can't help you. There is no good ambiance in this hotel, nothing of the Italian hospitality which you find in so many smaller hotels. We had a problem: I became very sick and had to leave after one night (booked three). I had to pay for all three nights and the desk staff couldn't do anything (can you call the manager? NO. End of story). Florence was full and surely they booked the room for the other two nights. Maybe charging me anyway is OK, but it just feels wrong, and something that a more human hotel would have not done (or charged for one night ... ). In my travels I seek to make human relationships with hotels, restaurants and cafes. Here there was nothing. As my wife said this isn't Italy any more. If I were travelling to Florence again I'd recommend looking for a nicer place. By the way, there were lots of extremely nice people in Florence: Cafe/restaurant Cibeo, several shops in the Central Market, and Cafe ZaZa which we were able to visit in our short stay.

        Nice service (Mr. Antonio on night shift). Old building hence tiny breakfast room and no elevator. But great location between the railroad station Firenze S.M.N. and Duomo. Prices high relative to conditions, but everything is expensive downtown Florence.

        This hotel is perfect for a visit to Florence, it is extremely clean and has a lovely breakfast. It is walkable to sights and many restaurants are just outside the doorstep. The beds are comfortable and the front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. We had the triple room so it was a bit larger. You can easily walk from the train.
