        I had a great weekend at this hotel for my birthday. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is delicious and diverse. We were welcomed by the smiling Tess. All the staff are welcoming and smiling. Everything was perfect.

        We stayed several nights at the Hotel Okura on back end of a Viking River Cruise. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very upscale and the rooms were very comfortable. Large bathroom with great shower. The location is within easy travel to many tourist spots. We enjoyed drinks on outdoor patio during early evening. Highly recommended

        Very bad experience. Filthy room with someone else’s hair clogging the drains. Flies scattered around the room. The hotel refuses to acknowledge any of these problems as the manager thinks it’s not a problem to be given a dirty room yet thought that it would be in good taste to call the hotel security when I complained that the room was not fit for use. The food in the hotel is another highlight. TERRIBLE and delivered cold!! Again least bothered when complained until I was fed up and refused to pay for it at which time my family was threatened by the manager by calling security on us 🤷🏽‍♂️ Further I would like to add to the response from the hotel. 1. I never wanted the presidential suite what I told you was even if you offered it to me I still don’t want it because I don’t want to stay in your hotel because I was disgusted by the hygiene of it so please don’t make out that I was trying to demand for something, more than what was expected from the hotel. 2. What made you uncomfortable was your own attitude and ego and you said you didn’t think it was a big problem the hygiene. you were not willing to hear my complaint and was standoff ish the moment you came which displays also in your response. Thank you I have found a much better collaboration with another group and I am staying in a much better hotel than yours. Best of luck for the future and future travellers. Cheers

        We stayed here for the Ciel Bleu festive experience, which was amazing! I want to thank the staff at Okura for helping me setting up the proposal, helping with taking pictures and all the kind messages. Highly recommend staying in this hotel.

        We love staying here because the location is close to a tram station, is not too far from the main area in De Pijp, and yet it is somewhat in the outskirts of the busy touristy areas. There are amazing Michelin-rated restaurants in this hotel so if you're looking for tasting menus, this is the place to be. Japanese-run hotels are always so clean (a little dated on the furniture like the leather chairs, but that's okay) and the service is quite nice. Best hotel in Amsterdam, in my opinion. 🙏🏼
