The service is amazing, very hospitable and kind people; people at the front desk and waiters during breakfast. The rooms are very clean and the location is ok; there are buses close by and you can walk to popular areas too. There is a market next to the hotel which was useful.

At best this hotel is 3 stars. At the very BEST. I have no idea how this is considered 4 star. The rooms were not as they were displayed. Extremely basic. The bathroom was filthy. The string above the toilet was brown and covered in bacteria. The hairdryer had long hair wrapped around it. The bed sheets were thin, cheap standard sheets. Not good

We got this room as part of a package travel deal, so we had no choice in the matter. We we’re not disappointed. A decent sized room, nice bathroom. Everything was clean. Large comfortable bed. A good breakfast. Quiet! Staff was friendly. We had to leave at 4:30 am for an early flight our last day, so they packed us a breakfast to go and arranged for a taxi to pick us up. They had a (tiny) elevator that only went to the second floor. Our room was on the 3rd. Seeing how one of our previous hotels had no elevator, we were ok with that. A half hour walk to the colosseum area, hour to the Vatican.

We stayed in the Hotel Oxford as part of a trip around Italy this summer. The hotel was overall good: service staff were kind, the breakfast had a lot of good options, and the location was convenient for us for a good price (most attractions we were interested were 20-30 minutes walk). Our room did have a slight garbage smell when we arrived and there was a worn shirt from the previous resident in the closest, so it didn't feel like the cleanest hotel on our trip. Most notably, we left with several mosquito bites, so the place may need an update to help prevent bugs getting in. One note is that the hallway/stairs and elevator are very narrow, which didn't bother us at all, but might be less accessible for some travelers.

Avoid at all costs! This hotel should not be classed as a 4 star, more like a 2 star. The pictures are nothing like the rooms. The rooms are tiny and there is little space to put your stuff in the rooms. The towels, the walls, the ceiling, you name it and it was dirty. The beds were so hard, I hardly slept the whole time I was there and left with aching hips. The lift is tiny and so outdated I was sure it was going to break every time I stepped in it. Some rooms were tucked away in what looked like cupboard and were hidden by old towel trolleys that you had to push past to get to the rooms. Breakfast was so disappointing and definitely not worth it at all. It’s not worth paying for. It looked like things had been sitting there for days, all dry, and there were flies hovering and on the food. The location was good though, not that busy and close to some good restaurants.
