Definitely not a 5 star experience, but you'll pay a 5 star price. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is nice but there are several small issues with the rooms and the service is nowhere near 5 star. Also a huge disappointment was that the terrace was closed without us being told ahead of time. It is probably the main reason to stay here... The rooms are large, decorated in a historic French way, but you can hear your neighbors, the chandeliers shake whenever anyone walks upstairs or a bus drives by, and I heard pleasure sounds from upstairs both nights... There are small stains on the carpet, loose toilet seat, broken knob on one window, just several small things you wouldn't expect when spending over $1,000/night. The service... There are no doormen most of the time, 2 glasses set out with a cheap bottle of wine for 3 guests, experience not tailored to your group. It's not hard to overcome these minor things, but again for the price not what I'd expect. They also nickel and dime you for everything, and keep a large incidental deposit up front to account for all the small charges that 4 star hotels provide for free. Had a much better experience for a quarter of the price at Elsa Hotel the weekend before. This review might be 4 stars if they rebrand as a 4 star hotel and cut their prices to less than half what they are currently.

The hotel is in a great location, and I really like the restaurant, which offers simple but good quality food. It was so beautiful that the phrase “the world’s smallest 5-star hotel” was put to shame, with staff who could speak English comfortably to avoid any inconvenience for me who does not speak French.

The response to the negative reviews was all I needed to book a stay here, and I hope you feel the same. The carpet was frayed in one corner, the bathroom door didn’t line up perfectly, and there isn’t a power outlet in that one spot you wish it was. It’s home. It takes everyone involved to make this happen, so thank you to everyone. Thank you to the gentlemen who knocked on my door to ask if we needed anything. Thank you to the people who make sure we arrive safely from the entryway. Thank you to the many people in between who made it feel like a home and not a transaction. An experience like this is priceless. Come with love and everyone at Hotel Raphael will give it right back.

Sad I have to write this review. $800 a night for the rooms and 11:00pm at night there is banging and slamming coming from the ceiling for an hour. They informed us the staff is setting up furniture. Completely unacceptable. Most nights we stayed there was some kind of noise and rattle coming from the ceiling. Our shower container was empty of soap the day we arrived till the day we left…had to pump out of the one by the bath. We were also SCAMMED for $350. An employee at the front misinformed us about the laundry. Told us it was complimentary. We didn’t want dry cleaning just a tumble dry. We ordered so and received a bill for $350 adding up in USD…I was witness that this employee told us it complimentary. He must not know what that means. The staff did not care or want to make any amends about this. In fact he gave us a snarky answer and said “that’s how much laundry costs at a 5 star hotel”. We travel to Europe every single year for a few weeks and we’ve only stayed in 5 star hotels….the only issue we’ve had is here. This is definitely not 5 star hotel standard.

The Hotel Raphael has been our family’s favorite home in Paris since more than 30 years. Great staff , very nice rooms, cozy atmosphere. The Raphael is authentic traditional Parisian luxury , without the spoils of high-tech spoils which would otherwise ruin its treasured value.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
