        The shower is incredibly small, the smallest I have seen in my over 35 years of travel experience. The toilet seat is also uncomfortable. I would not recommend booking this hotel room if you are an American citizen, as you may find the cramped shower and ill-fitting toilet seat quite frustrating. could not get out of shower multiple times and hurt myself.... I left this morning, and my children's room was even worse, lacking any storage space, and the hotel staff was unaccommodating of our request to change rooms in the evening..... They offered to change our room at 6 am as we were leaving for a day trip but would not do it in the evening when we came back and had time to change our rooms... Room service and housekeeping were good. Breakfast was good. But will not return.

        Lousy to zero customer care attitude. Awfully small shower cabin and outdated bathroom. But inside beautiful and well located. A pitty they do not welcome guest in a friendly manner. Obviously they don't need to. And the valet parking searching my my car for valuables and leaving it unlocked in the way too expensive overnight parking is a total no go!

        While this hotel looks lovely at first sight, and is located in a very beautiful and convenient part of the city, be very very wary before deciding to stay. First of all, if you have disabilities then you must look elsewhere for accommodations as this hotel is not handicap accessible. The showers truly are comically small as other reviews state. You will not be able to get in if you have an impairment or if you are larger. You will not be able to bend over in the shower without hitting your head and so you must keep the doors open while you wash. The pictures on the website are misleading…they show no pictures of the actual shower size for the deluxe room so be wary of the misleading advertising. I have provided a photo below for reference. But the most concerning issue: This hotel has a roach problem. A cockroach problem. They are large and they will crawl on you. I have also provided a picture below for reference. This one was on me as I was preparing to shower. Be sure to check your shoes as they like to crawl into them. It was very difficult to fall asleep for fear of roaches. When we informed the concierge, they did give us a complimentary 7euro bottle of champagne as an apology and moved us to the room next door…but roaches in a building is a problem regardless of the room and we were moved to the next room over which shared the same wall. This Hardly gave us peace of mind or fixed the problem. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for clean accommodations. Vacations should be relaxing and worrying about roaches added much stress. I think the problem stems from the large bags of smelly garbage placed in the halls for hours at a time while the staff cleans. Overall I would never recommend this stay. It needs fumigated. I hope this honest review is helpful as you plan your travel. Best of luck!

        Wonderful! Our room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the plaza. Best air conditioning out of any hotel we stayed at in Italy! Blackout curtains were perfect for sleeping. Room was always clean, the bed was comfortable (although quite firm) and the towels were soft and fluffy. The breakfast was also the best we had in Italy, a great variety and very attentive staff serving delicious cappuccino. The complementary water in the room was very much appreciated after long hot days exploring Florence, and the ice machine was a nice bonus to make sure we left each morning with nice cold water. There is some city noise so light sleepers might need earplugs, but that goes with the location. We never heard any noise from other rooms though! Easy walk to the train station and nicely located to all of the Florence sites. Would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Florence.

        Superb location, a quirky hotel with many interesting features, particularly liked the atrium with the tyre palm trees. Breakfast was very good.
