        We chose to stay at Hotel She during our visit to Kyoto around Christmas, last year. It’s a kilometre’s walk from Kyoto station and the nearest subway station is some 350m away from the hotel. So I wouldn’t say it’s conveniently located near public transit options. However, it’s in the quieter part of Kyoto so if you don’t mind that, you’ll enjoy your stay here. Their rooms are comfy and spacious unlike many other hotels. We chose a room with kitchenette and it was well equipped to allow us to cook our own meals. They provide good quality bathing amenities. The rooms have a vinyl record player which adds a great touch to the aesthetics of the place. The common area is very cosy and a good spot to relax if you wish to get out of your room but not go outside. They serve free snacks and drinks every evening and two scoops of ice cream every day! I’d definitely love to stay here again, whenever I visit Kyoto next.

        When you see the lobby hotel, it feels like you enter a warm and enjoyable area. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room's size is sufficient for two people and they provide basic amenities. Access to train and bus is easy, there are several station around the hotel. You can play vinyl in your room and you will get a complementary ice cream every day. Its a good experience staying in this hotel.

        Lovely hotel with turntables and vinyl records on request, the hotel look I so chick. Rooms are comfy, clean and very affordable. The staff is so friendly, helpful and speak English! The even have free ice cream and my favourite japanese gin from Kyoto! They got me! ❤️

        I'm extremely sorry to write this review because the crew of the hotel is young, frindly and overall speak English, but we had a very unpleasant stay and the hotel has major issue which I can't really understand why no one mentioned in the review. My second star is for the ice cream which is the best thing of the hotel. Coming to the cons: - noisy room till 1:00 am due to bathroom drains (I guess), and then every morning exactly at 7:00 the music of the hall wakes you up (if you are at the first floor at least) - humidity in the room is crazy. Every morning, after been wake up by the music, we had a lake in the windows (see image) - "breakfast". Do yourself a favor, don't buy it if you stay because everything you'll get is one drink of something ( E.g. coffee or juice) and 2 mini croissant or waffle. No buffet, no refill, no milk (just the 2g mini caps). Unacceptable also considering the price. See picture if you don't believe. - dryer doesn't work. Washing and dryer machine are outside and, despite doing the drier 2 times as suggested by the crew (of course paying), our laundry was still extremely wet and we had to dry with the phon wasting more than 1 (additional) hour. Note that in the other hotel we stayed in Japan, the exact same dryer was drying in 1 shoot. As for the other issues, I tryed to say something at the receptionist, and everything you get is "I'm sorry, try to dry it again". I don't care about the money but the time is valuable when you are traveling and this is unacceptable. - internet. Free wifi is there but don't expect to watch some streaming in the evening, everything you can usually do is browsing (slowly). To be fair and complete the review, the hotel looks really nice, crew speak English and are smiley, ice cream is good, you can get 2 vynil disc per day to listen music with the record player j the room and position is 15 min walk from the station. But if I would ever come back in Kyoto, I would stay somewhere else and would just come here after dinner for the ice cream and some relaxing music.

        Nice rooms. Quick help when issue came up with in-room AC unit. Record player in all rooms and small record library to choose a couple to play in room. Hip. Free daily ice cream is the best! The handmade cola floats are also great!

          Booking Policy
