Based on the fair price we paid over a public holiday weekend, all expectations were met: Room clean and functional. Staff kind, helpful and responsive. Location quiet but with nice little bars and bakeries all around and literally less than 3 minutes walk from the metro station 5 stops from Plaza Catalunya. If you prefer to walk to the city centre it is totally doable and will take you between 30 and 60 minutes depending on where your final destination is.

Stayed in October 2023. Before the visit, we wanted to change our booking and prolong it for one more day. It was impossible to do in the app, so I called to the hotel reception and they made another reservation for us, let us pay for the extra day on the arrival and let us stay in the same room. It was very kind of them and we could enjoy the city even more... A good location, 2 minutes from a metro station and 5 minutes from a bus station (on foot). My room was with the windows to the road, so if they were open, it was a bit noisy, but with an air conditioning working well it wasn't a problem to sleep with the windows closed. Soundproofing of the room isn't really good. I could hear one man next door talking till midnight, in another room another man was snoring the whole night and I could say how many times they used WC 🤪 So if you have sensitive sleep, you might find it a little bit difficult... In the cafeteria they cooked fried eggs on demand, so it was nice to have them fresh. It would be nice if they used different cutting boards for different types of food because the ham, the cheese etc smelled with onion. The receptionists are great people, spoke either English or French or both fluently. Their advice help me to save my time and money and enjoy my weekend at Barcelone. Thanks a lot 🤗

From the moment we arrived we had a terrible experience with the frustrated, seemingly angry individual on reception. I appreciate that each city in Europe charges taxes separately for reasons I will never understand, but I expect that to be made clear before I check into a hotel. More importantly, I spent quite a bit of time putting in both passports and all the relevant details so I could check in ahead of time, only to then have to reproduce all the documentation and go through the check in again. Then the room just didn't look like the pictures. It was okay. Acceptable but personally wouldn't choose this hotel again. The last straw for us in terms of comfort was discovering that all rooms had airconditioning turned off and heating on regardless of what we wanted, so we spent a couple of uncomfortable nights in overheated rooms where we couldn't open the window.

I had a pleasant stay here, although there were a few downsides. While the accommodation is budget-friendly due to its location away from the main avenue, it can be noisy. My room was situated beneath bars and shops, which didn't bother me but might bother others. All the major attractions are within a 45-60 minute walk and easy to reach. The rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. One peculiar thing was that the top part of the outside window was spotless, but the bottom pane wasn't. It seemed like a case of "not my job." In conclusion, would I recommend this place? If you're seeking affordable lodging, don't mind some noise, and are willing to walk to the main attractions, then certainly. If not, you might want to consider something closer to the avenue.
