        My friend and I stayed here for three nights at the end of a trip to Italy. We liked the location, amongst some trees and green space in a comparatively quiet neighborhood away from the crowds, noise, and heat of the major attractions. It is a half-hour walk unless you are brisk however, so folks with mobility concerns might struggle. Our room was large enough, but it seemed a little dingy, and the grout in the bathroom was heavily mildewed - it'd be nice if someone would bleach that! Also the shower head was crusty with hard water residue, the shower enclosure leaked all over the floor, and the sink didn't drain properly. The beds appeared to be a fairly supportive latex, which is good for my bad back, but the pillows were like concrete. Folks with a preference for marshmallow beds might want to avoid. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and made restaurant recommendations and arranged taxis, which was really nice. There was a fairly large selection of breakfast pastries and other items, and since it's a hike to get to other options, it was worth paying the extra for. All in all an okay stay.

        The hotel is very well located just outside the city center, a 20-minute walk. The room was quite large and clean. We were not disturbed by noise, either from other rooms or from outside. The buffet breakfast offered great diversity and choice. There's also a bar and snack service, which is simply fine. The pool was pleasant. The most annoying thing was the concierge. She took a call when I was paying and didn't say anything to me when I was leaving. I will say "poor service"

        My recent stay at Hotel Villa Carlotta was marred by an unpleasant discovery: numerous insect bites on my back and legs after one night stay. However, the hotel's response was underwhelming. From the beginning they doubted this was a real problem and suggested i might got bitten in another place. This trip was a one day trip back and forward from my home to Firenze, so I didn't sleep anywhere else. The proof was shown with photos. Despite my concerns, they conducted an inspection 10 days later, which reportedly found no evidence of bedbugs. This lack of immediate action and the fact that they doubted the evidence since second 1, left me feeling dissatisfied and concerned. I would caution others to think twice before booking a stay at this hotel until they demonstrate a more proactive and responsible approach to guest concerns, since in any case I felt they were worried about my health or commitment to guest well-being. I am writing this email and including this photo due to the frustration I felt dealing with them. I was a considerate client and contact them privately first, but I believe i was not treated with the dame consideration. Being this a sanitary issue then dindt show any interest on health but on justifying it was not their problem.

        This is NOT a 4 star hotel! This is easily 2 star or less due to its lack of cleanliness and not well maintained guest rooms which is horrible to stay at. Even before booking I strongly emphasized on having a CLEAN ROOM which seems to be totally ignored, especially for a 4 star hotel cleanliness shouldn’t be a problem. The room is very old, dirty and DUST is everywhere including the ceiling with dirty stuff dangling from it!! Plus, mosquitoes are EVERYWHERE! and they have no resolution for mosquitoes!! They should spray or offer some kind of mosquito repellent in the room! It’s horrible! The walls in the room were dirty too. What a disappointment!! I do not recommend this place ever! And if you still decide to come DO NOT stay at the extension building and I don’t know about the main villa! NOT worth a penny and pretty creepy at night

        This place is conveniently placed so close to the city centre, a 10-15 min walk. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Loved having the pool for the hot days we had during our stay. Close to some lovely local restaurants and cafes. We would stay again.
