        The service was mediocre, actually the worst during my stay in Japan. The receptionist exhibited a nonchalant attitude. On a positive note, the room has a nice design, but it might not be suitable for light sleepers as soundproofing is poor. However, location is great.

        The sheets were dirty with with what looked like blood stains and hair when we went to get into bed the first night. The rooms are very large but smelly and musty, very dusty and just felt uncomfortable and like we needed to keep showering to stay clean in there. There is no elevator and we were on the 5th floor up narrow and steep stairs, there was no staff there to help us at 4pm on a Friday afternoon. No communication or warning of having to carry two large suitcases up five flights of stairs. Stay somewhere else if you are in Kyoto.

        Seems like all of us got their room in the fith floor... The place is good. Close to pla es and the train station Things you need to know... do not come before 11 am, or you will be walking with your bags around the city. Understanding the standards is critical

        A great experience and beautiful rooms! It’s 3-stars in terms of service and ammenities but the rooms were spacious, generously furnished and with great bathrooms. Other reviews weren’t joking about the stairs…. Sheesh! Lugging 2x 30kg suit cases up and down 5 flights of tiny stairs was a work out!! If you have trouble with stairs 100% avoid, there is no lift or ground floor suites. The one gentlemen who checked us in and out was quite short and uninterested but nothing to take note about. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. About a

          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
