        I cannot praise enough the wonderful service provided by Gwendolen at the reception. She could not have been more helpful with my request to leave my bag and change clothes after a long flight so I could attend a funeral service in the neighborhood (I arrived from the airport too early to check-in for my room). Throughout my stay Gwendolen was warm, friendly, and attentive—a consummate professional. The hotel couldn’t be better located as it is steps from the St Paul metro in the Marais, so it is super easy to take the RER train from CDG airport. The continental bkfst was a welcome touch. The room I had was small, but it was clean and had everything I needed, including beautiful doors that opened to a balcony. The elevator is built for one person with a medium size suitcase. This is a charming boutique hotel with fantastic service. If you are looking for luxury accommodations it is probably not for you, but good luck finding such accommodations anywhere near the Marais without paying 700 EUR a night. I will def stay at Hotel Emile again.

        Very nice hotel! We had 2 rooms on the 6th floor with an very nice vue! The hotel is in an amazing neighbourhood, 2min from the metrostation with a connection to everywhere in Paris. Price was also perfect, was neath as well, no sign of bed bugs 😉 we could give our keys at the reception if we left for the evening etc. We didn’t use the breakfast as we had only 1 night and wanted to go somewhere else, so I cannot say anything about the breakfast

        Extremely disappointing experience. I booked a room in February for our European vacation in July. The credit card details we provided had changed during this time due to some fraud. During transit from Australia, Hotel Emile tried to take a one night deposit however our card didn't go through so they canceled our room. The hotel advised they tried to contact us however were in transit so they canceled our booking. We arrived at the hotel after a 23hr flight, advising they had no rooms available. We were left without any accommodation and had no option to look for another alternative. I would advsie not to book directly with the hotel, I would use an app like booking.com perhaps to ensure the hotel can't cancel your booking in advance.

        I am not having problems with my bank. I am having problems with Hotel Emile not refunding a deposit paid in good fait. In regards to this hotels dodgy response, in which they say "sorry you are having problems with your bank!" Just proves that they have intentionally not refunded the $278 that is owed to me. You have my email address, I have emailed you and called you. Why have you not emailed my a copy of the returned money? My bank are not at fault. YOU ARE AT FAULT. PLEASE EMAIL ME, SHOW ME THE RETURNED MONEY ON YOUR STATMENT. EMAIL ME A COPY OF THE REMITTANCE. Your response so far matches your horrible customer service. You are not being honest. Please email me, with proof of refund or even better actually refund the money today. WARNING - DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL VIA THE INTERNET AND PAY WITH CREDIT CARD DO NOT GIVE THIS HOTEL YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS. We booked directly with Hotel Emile. They took a deposit from us to reserve the room. We stayed, we paid for the stay in full and now returning home we find that 3 x months later they have also kept and not returned our deposit. I have called several times, written several emails. DO NOT give this hotel your credit card details over the telephone. THEY DO NOT RETURN THE HOLDING AMOUNT. I am still trying to get the extra $278 they have taken. If you are reading this review, and other guest reviews, you can see the hotel has done this many times before. I am sure you understand the situation, maybe you should leave Hotel Emile a review. Ask the hotel to refund my money. It is a terrible thing to do to customers. Thank you.

        This hotel is great. I needed something close to Gare de Lyon, at an affordable price, at the last minute. Hôtel Émile is in such a great location in Le Marais. Traveling solo, I wanted simplicity and cleanliness, and this place met my needs. The decor, shower in my room, and excellent service sets this place apart from just any budget hotel. Would choose it over a hostel any day. The staff was incredible, happy to chat with me but also gave space, while staying available to assist. The solo rooms are on le première étage, and if the restaurant below is having a rockin’ good time, you do need to close the window. My second night there was quieter and not a problem. If you are sensitive to noise, you may want something on a higher floor. That said, I still give this place 5 stars. Je voudrais remercier l’équipe incroyable, particulièrement Philippe et Léon Alfred. Vous êtes très sympa! Merci pour l’écouter pendant je pratiquais mon français. Vous avez rendu mon séjour très intéressant! Je vais retourner.

          Booking Policy
          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
          The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.
