        A quaint little boutique hotel in the heart of the 8th quarter. I was able to request a double bed in advance of my stay, and despite the small room (typical for Paris), the room was perfect, very clean, and had all the basic amenities. Staff were nice, though there seemed to be a different person at the desk each time I came/went. The elevator is small and only holds one person + bags or two people, so be prepared to do the stairs if needed! Would definitely stay here again.

        The room we booked online was not the room we received. We are disappointed and would not recommend this hotel as we feel they are dishonest. We booked a classic room which in the room details online specified city views. The room we received picture attached has no windows and a door that opens out to a random staircase which others can access that was not disclosed to us prior to arriving. We appreciate the front desk agent that offered us a different room but it felt like an “attic” with slopped roofs and no shower (I guess you could shower in the bathtub); again not the room we booked per pictures. We were told they are sold out but we can pay 30€ per night for an upgraded room. We don’t want an upgrade we just want the room we booked online. I took my mom to Paris hoping for a lovely stay and this really left a sour experience for us. I booked this hotel because it looked promising otherwise I would’ve booked somewhere else had I known we’d receive this disappointing room picture attached.

        Service is very bizarre. The room was clearly not fully cleaned with a really foul odor (of feces) coming from the bathroom into the rest of the room. The staff insisted the room had probably been cleaned and didn't want to do anything, they didn't come across with any kind of customer service. This isn't what you expect from a "superior room". No offers to try to get housekeeping to come by, to find an air freshener, or do anything to help improve the situation. Not staying here again.

        The Hotel Madeleine Haussmann is very sweet. Of all the places we stayed throughout our trip, it had by far the best breakfast! I never fully recovered from that breakfast – amazing. The staff were all very kind and helpful. It is very nicely appointed. Luxury bedding, pillows, towels, etc. Modern bathroom. And the rooms even had ledges with fences, so you could open the window and lean way out. Highly recommended. And a great location – easy to get to everything.
