I recently stayed at a hotel in Berlin and, while it had some positive aspects, there were also notable drawbacks that affected the overall experience. Let's start with the positives: the breakfast was a definite highlight. The hotel offered a diverse and delicious selection of breakfast items, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. From fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes and a variety of beverages, the breakfast spread was impressive and provided a good start to the day. However, the comfort of the room left much to be desired. The bed and pillows were unfortunately not up to par. The mattress felt too firm, and the pillows lacked the plushness one would expect in a hotel of this caliber. This impacted the quality of sleep and left me feeling a bit achy in the mornings. It's an aspect the hotel should seriously consider upgrading to enhance the overall guest experience. Additionally, there was an unusual smell in the room that was difficult to ignore. It wasn't overpowering, but it was noticeable enough to be a concern. It gave the impression that the room might not have been thoroughly cleaned or that there could be an issue with the ventilation. This was disappointing and detracted from the otherwise clean and well-maintained appearance of the hotel. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and attentive, doing their best to address any concerns promptly. The hotel's location was also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and various attractions in Berlin.

The location is 10/10, directly at the heart of Berlin and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The amenities in the room could be improved especially in the bathrooms to hang clothes and also more Power outlets could be provided in the room. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend.

This is the second time I stay at the ibis Styles Hotel Berlin Mitte, so it clearly means my first experience was also very good. The staff at the reception are always friendly and willing to help, the cleanliness is super good, there are free hot beverages available at the breakfast area from 12:00 to 22:00 (that's a great deal in winter) and the rooms are also a great value for the price. There are, however; two points I noticed during both my stays at the hotel I'm not very satisfied with: 1. There was no safe at the room, so I felt a bit concerned about leaving my valuables around the room. Of course, that was only a feeling, nothing went wrong. 2. The lack of organization when it comes to the cleaning service and check-out. During my two stays, I was bombarded by the cleaning service on the last day, before checking-out. Even when check-out was at 12:00 (another positive point for this hotel), I got someone knocking at my door around 9:00, then at 10:30 and finally at 10:40. I told them I was going to check-out at 11:30, but they kept coming... I think these two points, and mainly the last one, are the only reasons I'm not giving this hotel a higher score, the rest was perfect!

Great location friendly service. Rooms small but cosy for 2 people and most importantly the beds were comfortable not too soft. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Great for a 2-3 night stay max.

Location of the hotel was great. The rooms are a bit cramped for two people and the layout of the room is also quite strange as the toilet doesn’t exactly have the most privacy. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
